5 t i5- o3 I <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 471 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF ZEPHYRHILLS , FLORIDA, AMENDING ARTICLE III , <br /> SECTION B (1) , (2) . ALL AS CONTAINED IN FLOOD <br /> DAMAGE PREVENTION REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF <br /> ZEPHYRHILLS AND INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE IN <br /> ORDINANCE 420. <br /> ARTICLE III. SECTION B (1) and (2) of the Flood Damage <br /> 11 Prevention Regulations of the City of Zephyrhills , as <br /> originally adopted on May 26 , 1987 and incorporated by <br /> reference in Ordinance ##420, known as the City of Zephyrhills <br /> Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance are amended to read as <br /> follows : <br /> SECTION B. SPECIFIC STANDARDS : <br /> In all areas of special flood hazard where base flood <br /> elevation data has been provided, the following provisions <br /> are required: <br /> (1) Residential Construction. New construction or sub- <br /> stantial improvement of any residential structure <br /> shall have the lowest floor, including basement, <br /> elevated no lower than the base flood elevation. <br /> Should solid foundation perimeter walls` be used to <br /> elevate a, structure, openings sufficient to <br /> facilitate the unimpeded movements of flood waters <br /> shall be provided. <br /> (2) Non-Residential Construction. New construction or <br /> substantial improvement of any commercial , <br /> industrial , or non-residential structure shall have <br /> the lowest floor, including basement , elevated no <br /> lower than the level of the base flood elevation. -- <br /> Structures located located in A-zones may be flood-proofed <br /> in lieu of elevation provided that all areas of the <br /> I:1 structure below the required elevation are water <br /> tight with wall substantially impermeable to the <br /> 1 1 -11 <br /> passage of water, using structural components having <br /> r �ic <br /> the capability of resisting hydrostatic and <br /> r r hydrodynamic loads and the effect of buoyancy.
