20.E _ 0 oph I, J 1� J ORDINANCE NO. 384 OA V AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS PERTAINING TO THE ELIMINATION OR REPAIR OF UNSAFE BUILDINGS ; PROVIDING FOR A LIEN ON THE REAL ESTATE •INVOLVED AND PROVIDING FOR FORECLOSURE OF THE LIEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 713 , FLORIDA STATUTES INCLUDING RECOVERY OF REASONABLE ATTORNEY ' S FEES AND COURT COSTS. 111 1 . Whenever a building or structure is repaired or demolished in accordance with the Standard Code for the Elimination or Repair of Unsafe Buildings and the cost of such repair or demolition is borne by the City due to the failure or refusal of the owner to comply with -.t;h e:. • - -: �: notice of non-compliance, the City shall file in -the public records of Pasco County a notice of commencement ' of work , describing the real property which is the subject of the repair or demolition, which notice s`!hall. state that the owner of the land shall be responsible for all costs and that same are, by ordinance of the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills , a lien upon the real property. The sole purpose for this notice is, to - - provide notice to the public that any subsequent e.I purchaser of the property shall be on notice that the --_1 cost of the repair or demolition does constitute a .1i-en- ` on the real property. �`rf 2 . The cost of repair or demolition may be performed by the City employees and equipment , and if so , the cost shall be based on an hourly rate for the ' labor and machinery required . The City may also - contract for the repair or demolition which shall be by bid i-n- accord-anc-e" with -the City' s -standard procedures . 1 -111 3 .
