469 <br /> (a) Land Use: Explore the present and proposed <br /> distribution, location, and extent of the uses of land for housing, <br /> business, industry, agriculture, recreation, conservation, education, <br /> public facilities and other such uses as may be deemed significant. <br /> (b) Traffic Circulation: Research type, location, <br /> and extent of existing and proposed thoroughfares and transportation <br /> routes. <br /> (c) Water and Waste: Develope principles and guide- <br /> lines for future use of land based on inventory of the present system <br /> d- and the potential of sanitary sewers, solid waste collection, storm <br /> Oect water drainage and potable water. <br /> (d) Conservation: Organize policies to conserve, <br /> utilize and protect the areas natural resources, including air, <br /> water, soils, flood plains, rivers, lakes, wildlife, minerals and <br /> other natural and environmental resources. <br /> (e) Recreation and Open Space: Indicate a compre- <br /> hensive system of public and private sites for recreation including <br /> but not limited to parks, playgrounds, and recreation facilities. <br /> (f) Housing: Denote standards, plans and prin- <br /> ciples to be followed in <br /> (1) The provision of housing for existing <br /> residents and the anticipated growth of <br /> the area. <br /> (2) The elimination of substandard dwelling <br /> conditions. <br /> (3) The improvement of existing housing. <br /> (4) The provision of adequate sites for future <br /> housing, including housing for mobile <br /> homes and low and moderate income families. <br /> (5) The provision for relocation housing and <br /> identification of housing for purposes of <br /> conservation, rehabilitation, or replacement. <br /> (6) The formulation of housing implementation <br /> programs. <br /> (g) Utilities: The electric utility portion of <br /> this element will be in conformance with the ten year site plan <br /> required by the Florida Electrical Power Plant Siting Act, Part II , <br /> Chapter 403. <br /> - 6 — Ric 924 MU1436 <br />
