ORDINANCE NO. a3 _ spy AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, AMENDING = }f SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 224, PRO- VIDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SAID SECTION UPON SHOWING OF HARDSHIP. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, by Section 2 of Ordinance No. 224, amended Section 4 of Ordinance No. 171 , by providing that all buildings construc- ted shallhave a floor elevation of a minimum of eight (8) inches above the crown of any road adjoining such construction, and WHEREAS, it now appears that strict application of said provision would constitute a hardship on construction in cer- tain portions of the City of Zephyrhills, making it necessary that some provision be included in said ordinance, whereby, upon showing of such hardship, said requirement could be modified. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the 11 City of Zephyrhills, Florida, as follows : SECTION 1 : That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 224 amending Section 4 of Ordinance 171 , if further amended as follows : SECTION 4C (4) : All buildings constructed shall have a floor elevation of a minimum of eight (8) inches above the crown of any road; . adjoining the lands upon which said building is constructed, provided however, that upon proper show of hardship the City Council ma modifysaid re uirement. That if no road exists at t e ate of t e commencement of said construction, then a licensed engineer' s certificate shall be sub- mitted to the Building Inspector, based on an engi- neering study,, said certificate to give estimate of the necessary floor elevation to comply with this section . .
