K., Dpty Clerk <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, LEVYING THE MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2018-2019 FOR THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, has timely advised the <br />Pasco County Property Appraiser's office that it proposed to levy a millage rate of 6.35 mills, which <br />is more than the rolled back rate of 5.9969 mills computed pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(1) by <br />5.89%; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida did on September 10, 2018 <br />conduct a Public Hearing and a second Public Hearing on September 24, 2018, and following the <br />second Public Hearing, did adopt a tentative budget of Fifty -Nine Million Four Hundred Thirty - <br />Three Thousand Three Hundred Sixty -Seven Dollars and No Cents ($59,433,367). <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida did advertise on September <br />20, 2018, its intent to adopt a final budget and millage rate during a Public Hearing held September <br />24, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, did after receiving input <br />from the general public, adopt a final budget of Fifty -Nine Million Four Hundred Thirty -Three <br />Thousand Three Hundred Sixty -Seven Dollars and No Cents ($59,433,367). <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, <br />Florida, sitting in regular session that: <br />1. The millage rate to be levied for ad valorem taxes within the municipality of the City <br />of Zephyrhills for the 2018-2019 fiscal year shall be 6.35 mills, said rate has not <br />changed. <br />2.
