Tree Tent Program Legend
a' A. Power will be provided to tent by using a 1 phase 5 KVA,480 to
240/120 volt Nema 311 step down transformer. This will be placed
adjacent to the nearest.parking lot pole that is fed with 480 volt
power. The existing load on this circuit is 10 amps and we will
temporarily place and additional 3.75 amps on circuit. The breaker size
feeding this is 20 amps.
B. The transformer is built onto a mobile cart along with a Nema 311240
volt 100 amp single phase load center. This panel contains a 30 amp 2
pole breaker for disconnecting means and will include (2) or (3) 20 amp
single pole breakers for GFCI receptacles included on the cart. These
will be used to power the lighting and convenience power if required.
The transformer will be connected to lighting pole via % seal tight flex:
A bare cooper 6 AWG conductor will be wrapped alongside the flex
and connected to the ground rod within the pole. This is used as a
supplementary ground to the transformer. The cart will also be
secured to the concrete pole base with chains.
C. A wooden frame or concrete cinder blocks with landscape lumber
between will be used to route extension cords from the receptacles to
the tent. This helps keep general foot traffic from damaging.
D. A web trapeze using clothes line will be built inside the tent to secure
the string of lights. The lighting string will be installed to line using
plastic tie wraps as not to place the lighting outlets in direct contact
with the tent. The string of lights typically is installed at 10 foot after
finished floor. Exit signs with battery backup are used at the entry
points of the tent.
E. The string of lights will consist of two individual strands. Each will have
10 lighting outlets with 60 watt incandescent lamps inserted. The total
load will be 60 watts at 10 lighting outlets equaling 600 watts totals.
VICTOnBARCLANotaryFoMy ComsMa
