Baked Enamel Danger Signs: Provide manufacturer's standard "DANGER" signs of baked <br /> enamel finish on 20 gauge steel; of standard red, black and white graphics; 14 x 10 inch size except <br /> where 10 x 7 inch is the largest size which can be applied where needed, and except where larger <br /> size is needed for adequate vision; with recognized standard explanation wording, and subsequent <br /> directive e.g. HIGH VOLTAGE, KEEP OUT; BURIED CABLE, DO NOT DIG; LIVE PARTS, DO NOT <br /> TOUCH SWITCH. <br /> H. Engraved Plastic Laminate Nameplates: Provide engraving phenolic plastic laminate, in sizes <br /> and thicknesses indicated, engraved with 1/16 inch thick lines with square standard pica lettering <br /> and wording as specified herein, black face and white core plies (letter color) for normal systems, <br /> kelly green and white for equipment, bright orange and white for critical, bright yellow and white for <br /> life safety, and red and white for fire alarm and where noted in the specifications. Punch for <br /> mechanical fastening, except where adhesive mounting is necessary because of substrate. <br /> Material thickness shall be 1/16 inch. Provide beveled edge in order to eliminate sharp corners. <br /> Provide self-tapping stainless steel round head screws. Provide contact type permanent adhesive <br /> where screws cannot or shall not penetrate the substrate. Adhesive nameplate shall be <br /> permanently installed. Titles shall be 1/2 inch high and all other lettering shall be 1/4 inch high. <br /> I. Underground Type Plastic Line Marker: Manufacturer's standard permanent, bright colored, <br /> continuous printed, metal backed plastic tape, intended for direct burial service; not less than 6 <br /> inches wide x 4 mils thick. Provide tape with printing which most accurately indicates the type of <br /> service or type of buried cable. <br /> J. Junction Box Identification: Provide neat indelible felt tip, stenciled marking on junction box and <br /> pullbox covers. Letter sizes shall be 1 inch high minimum. Provide non-stenciled markings inside <br /> the junction box and on the exterior edge to match the cover markings. <br /> 2.4 LETTERING AND GRAPHICS <br /> A. General: Coordinate names, abbreviations, and other designations used in electrical identification <br /> work, with corresponding designations specified or scheduled. Provide numbers, lettering and <br /> wording as indicated or, if not otherwise indicated, as recommended by the manufacturer and as <br /> required for proper identification and operation/maintenance of the electrical system equipment. <br /> Comply with ANSI A13.1 pertaining to minimum sizes for letters and numbers. <br /> B. Size: System identification labeling consists of providing minimum 1/2 inch high stenciled black <br /> letters for raceway systems. <br /> PART 3 -EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION <br /> A. Installation: Install electrical identification products as indicated, in accordance with manufacturer's <br /> written instructions, as required by the NEC and as specified herein. <br /> B. Coordination: Where identification is to be applied to surfaces which require a field finish <br /> application, install identification after completion of such application. <br /> C. Regulations: Comply with governing regulations and requests of governing authorities for the <br /> identification of electrical work. <br /> D.
