DONNELLY ENGINEERING ELECTRICAL <br /> SECTION 16650 <br /> ENGINE GENERATOR <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. General: Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br /> Conditions and Division 1 Specification sections, apply to work specified of this section. <br /> 1.2 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. General Bold: This section describes materials, installation and testing of engine generator sets,with <br /> main breaker and auxiliary support system, which shall be used for standby power in the event of a <br /> utility power failure. <br /> 1.3 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. General: Provide a emergency standby system to supply electrical power in the event of failure of the <br /> normal supply.The system shall consist of a liquid cooled engine,an AC alternator and system controls <br /> with all necessary accessories for a complete operating system,including but not limited to the items as <br /> specified herein. The generator shall be a 35OKW 120/208V, 3 Phase, 4 Wire DIESEL type. The <br /> generator shall be a LEVEL 1 class 96 generator tested in accordance with NFPA 110 and installed per <br /> the requirements of NFPA 99 and NFPA 110. <br /> B. Automatic Operation: The existing standby system where existing, shall utilize the existing transfer <br /> switches. Except a new equipment branch transfer switch shall be provided. The Generator shall <br /> transfer in less than 10 seconds upon loss of normal power and the voltage to at least 90% of rating. <br /> C. Special Generator Provisions: The owner shall purchase the generator, base tank, housing and <br /> transfer switch. The contractor shall supervise the shipping and handling to the site and take <br /> responsibility for off loading and installation complete. <br /> 1.4 CODES AND STANDARDS <br /> A. Standards UL2200-Stationary Power Generator Assemblies <br /> B. CODES REFER TO SECTION 16010 <br /> 1.5 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings in accordance with Section 16010 of this specification.Show <br /> applicable ratings, sizes, materials, manufacturers and part numbers, and overall dimensions and <br /> weights, for the following; <br /> 1. Itemized bill of material <br /> 2. Manufacturer and model of engine <br /> 3. Manufacturer and model of generator <br /> 4. Control panel DEC 550 <br /> 5. Battery and battery charger <br /> 6. Batteries and rack <br /> 7. Electric governor <br /> 8. Exhaust silencer(Inside Housing). <br /> 9. Main line circuit breaker square D LSI electronic trip. <br /> 10. Base tank and isolators <br /> 11.
