<br /> 2.5 REFRIGERATION ACCESSORIES
<br /> A. Refrigerant Strainers: Brass shell end and connections, brazed joints, Monel screen, 100 mesh,
<br /> UL-listed, 350 PSI working pressure.
<br /> B. Moisture-Liquid Indicators: Forged brass, single port, removable cap, polished optical glass,
<br /> solder connections, UL-listed 200' F (93' C)temperature rating, 500 PSI working pressure.
<br /> C. Refrigerant Filter-Driers: Corrosion-resistant steel shell, steel flange ring and spring, wrought
<br /> copper fittings, ductile iron cover plate with steel cap screws, replaceable filter-drier core, 500
<br /> PSI working pressure. All filter-driers shall meet the requirements of ARI Standard 710. Filter-
<br /> Driers for heat pump systems shall be bi-flow type.
<br /> D. Evaporator Pressure Regulators: Provide corrosion-resistant, spring-loaded, stainless steel
<br /> springs, pressure operated, evaporator pressure regulator, in size and working pressure
<br /> indicated,with copper connections.
<br /> E. Refrigerant Discharge Line Mufflers: Provide discharge line mufflers as recommended by
<br /> equipment manufacturer for use in service indicated, UL-listed.
<br /> F. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufacturers offering
<br /> refrigeration accessories which may be incorporated in the work include the following: Alco

<br /> PART 3- EXECUTION
<br /> 3.1 REFRIGERANT PIPING INSTALLATION
<br /> A. Refrigerant piping shall be sized as per recommendations of the air conditioning equipment
<br /> manufacturer. Provide, upon request, copies of manufacturer's calculations, specifically when
<br /> distance between system components exceeds standard published data.
<br /> B. Piping shall be filled with dry nitrogen while soldering.
<br /> C. Provide all necessary valves, traps, filter/dryers, sight glass, etc. as required for a complete and
<br /> ready to operate installation. Include accessible service fittings.
<br /> D. Provide long sweep elbows or junction boxes at the ends of conduit to facilitate pulling of
<br /> refrigerant pipes.
