<br /> following methods will be used to meet the requirements of Florida S atutes(F.S.)515:
<br /> Please initial the method(s)to be used for your pool.
<br /> The pool will be isolated from access to the home by an nclosure that meets the pool barrier requirements of
<br /> F.S.515,29.
<br /> The pool will be equipped with an approved,safety-pool ver that complies with.ASTM F1346-91 (Standard
<br /> Performance Specifications for Safety Covers for Swimmi Pools,Spas,and Hot Tubs).
<br /> Ati doors and windows providing direct access from the borne to the pool and Iodated within the
<br /> enGosureNence required by the Pasco County Land D veloprnent Code {LDC}, Section 530.4{D}, will be
<br /> equipped with an exit alarm that has a minimum sound pr ssure rating of 85 decibels of ten teak.
<br /> All doors providing direct access from the home to the pis and located within the enclosure/fence required by
<br /> the Pasco County LDC,Section 530.4(D),will be equippe with self-closing,self-latching devices with release
<br /> mechanisms placed no lower than 54 inches above the r or deck.
<br /> A swimming pool alarm that, when pieced in a post, s rids an alarm upon defection of an accidents!or
<br /> unauthorized entrance into the water,Such pool alarm m t meet and be independently certified to ASTM
<br /> Standard F2208, titled'Standard Safety Specification for Residential Pool Afarms;which includes surface
<br /> motion,pressure,sonar,laser,and infrared alarms.For pu es of this paragraph,the term'swimming pool
<br /> alarm'does not include any swimming protection alarm de designed for individual use,such as an alarm
<br /> attached to a child that sounds when the child exceeds a ce ain distance or becomes submerged in water.
<br /> I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT NOT HAVING AT LEAST ONE F THE ABOVE INSTALLED AT THE TIME OF
<br /> FINAL INSPECTION OR WHEN THE POOL IS COMPLETED FOR ONTRACT PURPOSES WILL CONSTITUTE A
<br /> VIOLATION OF F.S.515, AND WILL BE CONSIDERED AS COMM TTiNG A MISDEMEANOR OF THE SECOND
<br /> DEGREE,PUNISHABLE BY FINES UP TO$500,00AND/OR UP TO 60 DAYS iN JAIL AS ESTABLISHED iN F.S,775.
<br /> R4501.17.1.10: Where an aboveground poof structure is used as a bar er or where the barrier is mounted on top of the
<br /> Pool structure and the means of access is a ladder or steps,the ladder r steps shall either be capable of being secure,
<br /> locked, or removed to prevent access, or the ladder or steps shall ibe surrounded by a barrier which meets the
<br /> requirements of R4501.17.1.1 through R4501,17.19 and R4501.17.12 t rough R4501,17.14. When the ladder or steps
<br /> are secured,locked,or removed,any opening created shall not allow the assage of a four-inch diameter sphere,
<br /> I FURTHER UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT'THE OWNER ANDI R CONTRACTOR WiLL COMPLY WITH THE
<br /> FOLLOWING REGULATIONS CONCERNING SWIMMING POOL, SPA, AND/OR HOT TUB ENCLOSURES
<br /> IMMEDIATELY UPON COMPLETION OF THE SWIMMING POOL, SPA OR HOT TUB, IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
<br /> PASCO COUNTY LDC,SECTION 530,4(D):
<br /> 1. Construct around the swimming pool,spa,or hot tub a MIN11MU,rFOUR-FOOT44IGH FENCE with self-closing,
<br /> self-latching gates. The fence must not have any gaps, ope ings, indentations, protrusions, or structural
<br /> components that could allow a'young child to crawl under,squeeze through,or climb over the fence. Gates must
<br /> open outward,away from the pool area. The releasing mechanls of the latching device must be located on the
<br /> pool side of the gate and so placed that It cannot be reached a young child over the top or through any
<br /> opening or gap. No opening in the"fence may be large enough to a mit a four-inch sphere.
<br /> 2. Construct a screen enclosure around the swimming pool, spa,or of tub with self-closing, self-latching, screen
<br /> doors. Latches on exterior, screen doors must be a minimum of 54 inches from the exterior access standing
<br /> surface. All screen enclosures require Building Permits.
<br /> 3. Provide and utilize an approved,safety,swimming pool,spa,or hot ub cover that complies with ASTM F1346-91
<br /> (Standard Performance Specifications for Safety Covers for Swimm ng Pools,Spas,and Hot Tubs). Such cover
<br /> must be capable of being securely fastened over the swimming pool,spa,or hot tub when not in use.
<br /> fQW i FURTHER UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT one of the enclosures des ribed above will be completed prior to final
<br /> inspection of the pool,spa,or hot tub.
