It has been deemed necessary and in the best <br /> interest of the health,safety and welfare of you and your neighbors. <br /> Instructions on how to follow the Pasco County Land Development Code 901.9 <br /> • Numbers must be easily legible from the street,with figures not less than three(3) inches high for <br /> residences,and not less.than five(5)inches high for nonresidential development. <br /> • Numbers must be in a color contrasting to the building background. <br /> • Where there-is a free-standing mailbox serving the building or house, easily legible numbers shall be affixed <br /> to the mailbox. <br /> • Take care of anything that blocks your numbers(such as trees and shrubbery) <br /> • Numbers shall be displayed on the front entrance of each principal building and,for a principal building <br /> which is occupied by more than one(1) business or family dwelling unit, on each separate front entrance. <br /> • Please make sure you do not leave the old number up as well as the new number;this would be viewed as <br /> dual posting by code enforcement. <br /> • Address numbers should be made of durable and water-resistant material <br /> • Remember to check your address numbers regularly for obstruction or damage <br /> • It is imperative that the new address be used and displayed as soon as possible, but no later than thirty(30) <br /> days from effective date of this notice. <br /> Your local postal service will forward mail to your old address for up to 12 months after receipt of this notification. If you <br /> do not wish a delay in postal service,you may want to notify mail correspondence of the change. <br /> CODE ENFORCEMENT <br /> The Code Enforcement Division has the authority to enforce the address change. They will visibly field check the address <br /> numbers to make sure they are posted. Fines could be may be issued for non-compliance. <br /> NOTIFICATION OF OTHER AGENCIES <br /> We notify the Post Office and 911.You will need to notify any utility companies,Supervisor of Elections, Insurance <br /> Company and financial institution deemed necessary. Although the Post Office is notified,you may wish to alert people <br /> you normally receive mail from,so there is no delay in your mail. Please retain this document for your records. It will serve <br /> as an official notice of the address change by our office the authorized agency responsible for the change. <br /> POST OFFICE BOX CUSTOMERS <br /> Customers using post office boxes will continue using their assigned post office box number.
