Figure 2 illustrates the AM and PM hour project traffic on the adjacent <br /> roadways. <br /> BUDGETED IMPROVEMENTS <br /> According to the City of Zephyrhills, Simons Road from Shelby Lynn Way to Fort King Road <br /> is proposed to be paved in 2021. According to the Pasco County Capital Improvement Plan <br /> (CIP) and FDOT Work Program, there are no capacity adding improvement budgeted for <br /> construction in the vicinity of the project. <br /> BACKGROUND TRAFFIC <br /> The background traffic utilized in this report was calculated as follows: <br /> 1) AM peak hour (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM) and PM peak hour (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM) turning <br /> movement counts were conducted at the following intersections: <br /> a) Eiland Boulevard and Simons Road <br /> b) Daughtery Road and Simons Road <br /> Figure 3 illustrates the existing traffic. <br /> 2) The existing traffic was redistributed assuming a diversion of traffic to Simons Road as <br /> a result of the proposed extension of Simons Road to Fort King Road in 2021. See <br /> Appendix of this report for redistribution of the traffic. <br /> Figure 4 illustrated the redistributed existing traffic. <br /> 3) Redistributed existing traffic was adjusted to peak season utilizing the FDOT Peak <br /> Season Adjustment Factors for Pasco County. <br /> -A\ . 4 <br /> LINCKS & ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />
