RESOLUTION NO. 797-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, REPEALING RESOLUTION 739-17 <br />REGARDING THE BUILDING RENTAL POLICY AND SETTING FORTH <br />A BUILDING RENTAL POLICY FOR ALICE HALL COMMUNITY <br />CENTER. <br />WHEREAS, the Alice Hall Community Center is provided and maintained by the City of <br />Zephyrhills for the public's use and for the public's benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City ofZephyrhills, Florida, has determined that it is in the <br />best interest of the citizens of the City ofZephyrhills to amend the Building Rental Policy to insure <br />efficient and effective management of the facility; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Zephyrhills, <br />Florida, that the following mles shall apply to the rental of Alice Hall Community Center as <br />follows; <br />1. The building shall not be used for denominational or congregational religious services. <br />2. Reservations for annual, semi-annual, quarterly or monthly events will be accepted up to one <br />year in advance. <br />3. Use of the building for direct sales, the display of merchandise, or any commercial activity is <br />prohibited. Fundraising events by non-profit entities are allowed. <br />4. The consumption of, or possession of tobacco products/alcoholic beverages is prohibited. <br />5. Loud music and/or bands is prohibited after 10:00 p.m. <br />6. Govermnent/public entities may use the facility at no charge if deemed for a community <br />function. No discounts will be given for any other use. <br />7. The following is the adopted fee schedule: <br />- Per hour charge $40.00, plus sales tax. <br />- Minimum of two (2) hours required for rentals Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 <br />p.m. <br />- Minimum of four (4) hours required for rentals Friday and Saturday or Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 <br />p.m., plus a $100.00 non-refundable fee. <br />- $250.00 refundable cleaning deposit. The deposit will be returned if the facility is left in a pre- <br />rental condition and undamaged with all decorations removed and all trash bagged and placed in <br />provided containers. <br />- All reservations must be paid in full. <br />- A $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. <br />8. Municipal buildings shall not be available on Sundays following a Saft-u-day rental; <br />Municipal buildings shall not be available on Saturdays if Sunday has been reserved; <br />If rented on Friday afternoon or evening, Saturday rental shall not be before 11:00 a.m., <br />Monday rentals shall not be before 11:00 a.m. following a weekend rental; <br />Municipal buildings shall not be available for rental on City observed holidays; <br />Exceptions to this policy shall be approved by the City Manager. <br />THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if any organization or person violates any <br />of these rules or refuses to compensate the City for any damages arising out of the use of the <br />building, sufficient reason exists for denying that organization or person use of the building in the <br />future. <br />This;R^oln.ti^if^a]..become effective September 13, 2022. <br />. ....'.<... . .
