REPAIRS TO EXISTING WALL STRUCTURAL INSULATED PANELS (SIP's) SHALL OCCUR AFTER COMPLETION OF REPAIRS TO ROOF <br />PANELS (REFER TO SHEET S4), <br />2. RESTRICT ROOF RECONSTRUCTION TO THAT AREA WHICH CAN BE COMPLETED WITHIN A MAXIMUM OF ONE DAY. RE -PATCH <br />ROOF MEMBRANE PRIOR TO STARTING WORK ON ANOTHER AREA, <br />3. PANELS THAT SPAN BENEATH THE HATCHED AREA SUPPORT PARAPET KICKER FRAMING. DEPENDING ON THE <br />WATER DAMAGE TO THE TIMBERSTRAND PROFILE BOARDS IN THESE PANELS, TWO REPAIR OPTIONS MUST BE CONSIDERED AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />A. IF THE TIMBERSTRAND FOR THE PANELS SUPPORTING PARAPET KICKERS ARE WATER DAMAGED TO A DEPTH LESS <br />THAN 1/2", THE NEW JOIST FRAMING CAN BE SUPPORTED FROM THE EXISTING (3) - 2x8 BEAM AT THE BASE OF THE <br />PARAPET KICKERS (SEE SECTION 01/S4). REFER TO WOOD FRAMING NOTE 02b FOR ATTACHMENT OF THE NEW ROOF <br />DECK AND EXISTING BOTTOM OSB TO THE TIMBERSTRAND AND NEW JOIST FRAMING, <br />B. IF THE TIMBERSTRAND FOR THE PANELS SUPPORING PARAPET KICKERS ARE WATER DAMAGED TO A DEPTH <br />EXCEEDING 1/2", THE NEW JOIST FRAMING MUST EXTEND UNINTERRUPTED TO THE PERIMETER WALLS. THIS WILL <br />REQUIRE REMOVAL OF THE PARAPET KICKERS AND (3) - 2x8 BEAM & RE -INSTALLATION AFTER INSTALLATION OF THE <br />JOIST FRAMING AND NEW ROOF DECKING. IN THIS INSTANCE, THE ROOF DECKING CAN BE ATTACHED PER WOOD <br />FRAMING NOTE 02a. <br />4. THE CONTRACTOR MUST SHORE THE ROOF PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK. SHORING SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL ALL REPAIRS <br />TO THE WALLS AND ROOF HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. IF WALL PANELS ARE BEING REPLACED THEN SHORING MUST NOT BEAR ON <br />EXTERIOR WALLS.
