CORRIDOR LIGHTING CONTROL - ALL EMERGENCY LIGHTING IN CORRIDORS ARE <br />CONSIDERED NIGHT LIGHTS AND SHALL NOT BE CONTROLLED BY ANY DEVICE <br />INCLUDING OCCUPANCY SENSORS. ALL LIFE SAFETY LIGHTS AND EXIT SIGNS ARE <br />KEY NOTES <br />DEMOLISH ALL EXISTING LUMINAIRES IN THE HATCHED REGION(S). <br />MAINTAIN CIRCUITS FOR NEW LUMINAIRES. <br />LIFE SAFETY EGRESS LIGHTING FED FROM EXISTING CIRCUIT <br />MAINTAINED DURING DEMOLITION IN EXISTING PANEL 1HL1 <br />DEMOLITION GENERAL NOTES: <br />1 PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BID, VISIT SITE AND IDENTIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS AND <br />DIFFICULTIES THAT WILL AFFECT THE DEMOLITION WORK. NO COMPENSATION <br />WILL BE GRANTED FOR ADDITIONAL WORK CAUSED BY UNFAMILIARITY WITH SITE <br />CONDITIONS THAT ARE VISIBLE OR READILY CONSTRUED BY EXPERIENCED <br />OBSERVERS. THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL PARTICIPATE IN THE SURVEY OF EXISTING <br />ELECTRICAL SERVICES. <br />2 EXISTING FEEDERS AND BRANCH CIRCUIT WIRING THAT ARE TO BE DEMOLISHED <br />SHALL BE REMOVED BACK TO THE PANELBOARD. THE ASSOCIATED CIRCUIT <br />BREAKER SHALL BE TURNED OFF AND MARKED AS SPARE IN THE PANEL <br />DIRECTORY. PROVIDE THE OWNER WITH ONE ADDITIONAL COPY OF EACH PANEL <br />DIRECTORY UPON COMPLETION OF WORK. <br />3 IT SHALL BE THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT AND <br />MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF REMAINING DEVICES OR EQUIPMENT, AND ANY SUCH <br />CONNECTIONS SHALL BE CONCEALED UNLESS LOCATED IN UNFINISHED AREAS. <br />4 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT ABANDON FEEDER OR BRANCH CIRCUIT WIRING IN <br />EXISTING WALLS AND CEILINGS. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL FEEDERS <br />AND MAINTAIN THE CONTINUITY OF THE FEEDERS AND BRANCH CIRCUIT WIRING <br />TO ALL AREAS WHICH ARE TO REMAIN, BUT THAT AREA AFFECTED BY THE <br />DEMOLITION OR NEW CONSTRUCTION. <br />5 CONTRACTOR SHALL DISCONNECT AND REMOVE ALL POWER, AUDIO, CONTROL <br />AND COMMUNICATION WIRING MADE OBSOLETE BY DEMOLITION BACK TO THE <br />SOURCE. ANY CONDUITS PASSING THROUGH THE FLOOR AND/OR CEILING TO BE <br />REMOVED SHALL BE REMOVED AND THE HOLE SHALL BE PROPERLY SEALED TO <br />MAINTAIN PROPER FIRE RATING. <br />6 FOR ADDITIONAL DEMOLITION WORK REFER TO THE ARCHITECTURAL, <br />MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING DRAWINGS. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE ALL <br />EXISTING CONDUIT AND WIRING FOR EQUIPMENT TO BE REMOVED. <br />7 INVENTORY ALL OTHER ELECTRICAL ITEMS THAT ARE REMOVED AND PROVIDE A <br />LIST TO THE OWNER FOR THEIR SELECTION OF ITEMS TO BE RETAINED. ALL ITEMS <br />REJECTED BY THE OWNER SHALL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE CONTRACTOR <br />AND SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE. <br />8 DEVICES, LUMINAIRES, AND CONNECTIONS SHOWN ON THE DEMOLITION PLAN ARE <br />INTENDED TO GIVE THE CONTRACTOR A GENERAL IDEA OF COUNT OF WHAT <br />ELECTRICAL ITEMS ARE BEING REMOVED OR RETAINED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL <br />BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD INSPECTION OF THE SITE TO DETERMINE THE <br />ACTUAL CONDITIONS OF THE INSTALLATION AND QUANTITIES OF EXISTING <br />EQUIPMENT BEFORE SUBMITTING BID. <br />9 PORTIONS OF THE EXISTING BUILDING ARE TO REMAIN IN OPERATION DURING <br />CONSTRUCTION.
