<br />GENERAL NOTES
<br />1. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT SITE PRIOR TO BID, IN ORDER TO VERIFY AND COORDINATE DRAWINGS
<br />WITH ACTUAL CONDITIONS OF THE PROJECT. SHALL ANY QUESTIONS ARISE FROM SAID VISIT, REQUEST FOR
<br />INFORMATION SHALL BE MADE IN WRITING TO ARCHITECT FOR RESPONSE PRIOR TO BID SUBMITTAL.
<br />2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO ANY WORK AND SHALL
<br />BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SAME IN ADDITION TO ALL WORK AND MATERIALS INCLUDING THOSE FURNISHED BY
<br />SUBCONTRACTORS. CONTRACTOR SHALL ACCEPT PREMISES AS FOUND. OWNER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY
<br />FOR THE CONDITION OF THE EXISTING SITE AT THE TIME OF BIDDING OR THEREAFTER.
<br />3. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE HIS SUBCONTRACTORS WITH FULL SETS OF CONSTRUCTION
<br />DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT MANUALS FOR BIDDING. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE HIS
<br />SUBCONTRACTORS WITH FULL SETS OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT MANUALS AS APPROVED BY
<br />AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES.
<br />4. COORDINATION OF THE WORK SHALL USE ALL THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL
<br />REVIEW ALL THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE BEFORE COMMENCING WORK, SO AS TO FAMILIARIZE
<br />HIMSELF WITH THE WORK OF OTHER CONTRACTORS BESIDES HIMSELF. ANY DISCREPANCIES OBSERVED SHALL
<br />BE REPORTED IN WRITING TO THE ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY.
<br />5. EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE HIS/HER WORK WITH ALL OTHER CONTRACTORS. STARTING WORK
<br />BY ANY CONTRACTOR SHALL BE CONSTRUED AS ACCEPTANCE OF ALL PRIOR WORK DONE BY OTHERS BEFORE
<br />AS CORRECT. EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL
<br />C ONTRACT R HA L VERIFY DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS AT JOB SITE BEFORE STARTING
<br />WORK. ANY DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT IN WRITING BEFORE
<br />PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
<br />6. DIMENSIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER DRAWINGS; DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS TO DETERMINE ANY
<br />LOCATIONS. THE ARCHITECT SHALL BE NOTIFIED IF ANY DISCREPANCY OCCURS PRIOR TO CONTINUING
<br />WITH WORK.
<br />7. ALL PLAN DIMENSIONS ARE FROM CENTERLINES OR FACE OF STUD UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.
<br />8. IT SHALL BE UNDERSTOOD THAT ALL WORK PERFORMED SHALL BE DONE BY A LICENSED GENERAL
<br />CONTRACTOR AND IN A FIRST-CLASS WORKMANLIKE MANNER. ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
<br />APPLICABLE NATIONAL, STATE & LOCAL BUILDING CODES AND LOCAL RESTRICTIONS. THE MOST STRINGENT CODE
<br />SHALL GOVERN. THE CONTRACTOR MUST COMPLY WITH THE CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS OF
<br />ALL GOVERNING AUTHORITIES.
<br />9. IT IS NOT BE THE INTENT OF THESE PLANS AND/OR SPECIFICATIONS TO SHOW EVERY MINOR DETAIL OF
<br />CONSTRUCTION. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS AND SUPERVISION
<br />NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE WORK AS SHOWN AND/OR NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS. NO CHANGE ORDER
<br />SHALL BE ALLOWED OR ISSUED TO CONTRACTOR, FOR CONTRACTOR'S NEGLIGENCE, IN POINTING OUT ANY
<br />ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR DISCREPANCIES IN DRAWINGS, PRIOR TO BID DATE AND/OR AWARDING OF CONTRACT.
<br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REPORT IN WRITING TO THE ARCHITECT ANY ERRORS, INCONSISTENCIES, OR
<br />OMISSIONS HE MAY DISCOVER. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CORRECTING ANY ERRORS AFTER THE
<br />START OF CONSTRUCTION WHICH HAS NOT BEEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT. THE MEANS
<br />OF CORRECTING ANY ERROR SHALL FIRST BE APPROVED BY THE ARCHITECT AND OWNER. THE RESPONSIBILITY
<br />FOR ANY CHANGES MADE ON THE FIELD WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION TO THE ARCHITECT SHALL REST WITH
<br />THE CONTRACTOR OR ANY OTHER PERSON APPROVING SUCH A CHANGE.
<br />10. THE GENERAL BUILDING PERMITS SHALL BE PAID FOR BY THE OWNER. ALL OTHER PERMITS AND ANY
<br />INSPECTION FEES SHALL BE SECURED AND PAID FOR BY THE SUBCONTRACTOR DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE. ALL
<br />REQUIRED CITY, COUNTY AND/OR STATE LICENSES SHALL BE ACQUIRED AND PAID FOR BY THE INDIVIDUAL
<br />SUBCONTRACTOR.
<br />11. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO LOCATE ALL EXISTING UTILITIES AND
<br />CONNECTING POINTS WHETHER SHOWN HEREIN OR NOT FOR COORDINATION AND PROTECTION FROM DAMAGE.
<br />PRIOR TO STARTING CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT/OWNER IN WRITING OF
<br />ANY DISCREPANCIES FOUND. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BEAR ALL EXPENSE OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
<br />UTILITIES OR OTHER PROPERTY DAMAGED BY OPERATIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PROSECUTION OF THE
<br />WORK.
<br />12. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL ADHERE TO OWNERS REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO TRASH REMOVAL,
<br />CLEANUP, DELIVERY OF MATERIALS, PARKING AND ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO THE USE OF THE
<br />OWNERS PREMISES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COMPLETE SECURITY OF THE SITE
<br />WHILE JOB IS IN PROGRESS AND UNTIL JOB IS COMPLETED.
<br />13. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL KEEP ALL AREAS IN WHICH WORK IS BEING
<br />PERFORMED, FREE FROM DEBRIS AT ALL TIMES AND SAID AREAS SHALL BE LEFT BROOM CLEAN AT THE END OF
<br />EACH WORKING DAY.
<br />14. CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE OCCUPANTS
<br />AND WORKERS AT ALL TIMES. INCLUDING THE ERECTION & MAINTENANCE OF PERIMETER BARRIERS OR FENCES
<br />AS REQUIRED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS.
<br />15. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TEMPORARY WATER, POWER, TOILET FACILITIES AS REQUIRED. THE OWNER
<br />WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TEMPORARY FACILITIES OR ARRANGEMENTS.
<br />16. CITY APPROVED PLANS SHALL BE KEPT IN A PLAN BOX AND SHALL NOT BE USED BY WORKMEN. ALL
<br />CONSTRUCTION SETS SHALL REFLECT SAME INFORMATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO MAINTAIN, IN GOOD
<br />CONDITION, ONE COMPLETE SET OF PLANS WITH ALL REVISIONS, ADDENDA, DELETIONS AND CHANGE
<br />ORDERS, IN RED PENCIL ON THE PREMISES AT ALL TIMES. THESE ARE TO BE KEPT UNDER THE CARE OF THE JOB
<br />SUPERINTENDENT & BE POSTED ON A DAILY BASIS.
<br />17. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RECEIVING, UNLOADING, UNCRATING, INSTALLATION AND
<br />HOOKUP OF ALL FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT AND OTHER OWNER FURNISHED ITEMS, EXCEPT FURNITURE. WHERE
<br />APPLICABLE
<br />18. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND SHALL REPLACE OR REMEDY ANY FAULTY,
<br />IMPROPER OR INFERIOR MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP WHICH SHALL APPEAR WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR OR AS
<br />OTHERWISE SPECIFIED FOR A SPECIFIC COMPONENT AFTER THE COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK
<br />UNDER THIS CONTRACT.
<br />19. CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER AND CONFORM TO ALL RECOMMENDATIONS AND FINDINGS ASSET FORTH IN
<br />SOILS GEOLOGICAL REPORT. THE OWNER AND/OR ARCHITECT ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACCURACY
<br />OF THE FINDINGS OR FOR THE FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS. GRADING, TRENCHING, ETC., CONTACT OWNER
<br />AND/OR ARCHITECT FOR INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO THE CONTINUATION OF WORK SHOULD ANY UNUSUAL
<br />CONDITIONS BECOME APPARENT DURING GRADING OR FOUNDATION CONSTRUCTION. EXISTING ELEVATIONS AND
<br />LOCATIONS TO BE JOINED SHALL BE VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR BEFORE CONSTRUCTION. IF THEY DIFFER
<br />FROM THOSE SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER SO THAT MODIFICATIONS
<br />CAN BE MADE BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
<br />20. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL CLEAR, GRUB AND REMOVE ANY DEBRIS LOCATED AROUND THE PERIMETER
<br />OF THE SUBJECT CONSTRUCTION SITE AND INSTALL A SILT BARRIER FENCE TO CONTAIN THE CONSTRUCTION
<br />MATTER.
<br />21. SILICONE SEALANT CAULK SHALL BE USED AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
<br />A. AROUND EXTERIOR DOOR FRAMES, SILLS, HEADS & JAMBS
<br />B. AROUND WINDOW FRAMES, SILLS, HEADS AND JAMBS
<br />C. AROUND CONDUIT AND PIPE PENETRATIONS AT WALLS CEILINGS, & ROOF.
<br />22. DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN PORTIONS OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE NOT
<br />INTENDED. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO CLARIFY WITH THE ARCHITECT AND OWNER ANY SUCH DISCREPANCIES
<br />PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK.
<br />23. ALL ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
<br />LEGALLY CONSTITUTED AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.
<br />24. ALL CONTRACTORS SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS FOR REVIEW TO ARCHITECT/OWNER
<br />BEFORE FABRICATING OR INSTALLING. THE ARCHITECT AND/OR OWNER WILL REVIEW SHOP
<br />DRAWINGS AND SAMPLES FOR CONFORMANCE WITH DESIGN CONCEPT OF THE PROJECT. THE
<br />OWNER AND/OR ARCHITECTS REVIEW OF A SEPARATE ITEM SHALL NOT INDICATE
<br />APPROVAL OF AN ASSEMBLY IN WHICH THE ITEM FUNCTIONS. ALL MANUFACTURERS AND/OR
<br />SUPPLIERS SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS TO THE ARCHITECT/OWNER FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO
<br />FABRICATION. IF CONTRACTORS AUTHORIZE FABRICATION OF ANY PRODUCTS PRIOR TO SHOP
<br />DRAWING APPROVALS. SAME CONTRACTORS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COST RELATED
<br />TO ANY DEVIATIONS OR ERRORS FROM THE DESIGN INTENT.
<br />25. ALL GLASS AND GLAZING SHALL COMPLY WITH CHAPTER 54 OF THE U.S. CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY
