PROVIDE SURGE PROTECTIVE DEVICE (SPD) FOR ALL FIRE ALARM CIRCUITS ENTERING AND LEAVING THE <br />FACILITY. <br />2. THE SPD SHALL BE LISTED IN UL 1449 AND UL 1283, LATEST EDITION. THE SPD SHALL PROVIDE <br />NORMAL SINE WAVE TRACKING, WITH CATEGORY Al RING WAVE SUPPRESSION (2000 VOLTS, 67 <br />AMPERES, 82.2 DEGREE C [180 DEGREES F]) OF LESS THAN 50V FOR NOMINAL 120VAC. THE SPD <br />SHALL PROVIDE INDEPENDENT, DISTINCT, AND DEDICATED CIRCUITRY FOR EACH POSSIBLE PROTECTION <br />MODE (I.E., LINE —TO —NEUTRAL, LINE —TO —GROUND, NEUTRAL —TO —GROUND). SPD CIRCUITRY SHALL BE <br />FULLY ENCAPSULATED FOR PROTECTION OF THE CIRCUITRY AND TO PROVIDE LONGER LIFE <br />EXPECTANCY. <br />3. REFER TO THE "FIRE ALARM SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL MATRIX" ON THIS DRAWING FOR SPECIFIC NUMBER <br />OF ALARM SIGNALS (E.G., FIRE, SUPERVISORY) TO BE TRANSMITTED TO THE 24 HOUR MONITORING <br />SERVICE. <br />4. ENSURE THAT ALL FIRE ALARM MANUAL PULL STATIONS ARE IDENTICAL THROUGHOUT THE FACILITY. <br />5. IDENTIFY THE POINT/CONTACT ID ON THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL (FACP) AND SOUND THE <br />ALARM AT THE FACP AND FIRE ALARM REMOTE ANNUNCIATOR PANEL (FAA). <br />1.1.2. ACTIVATE AUDIBLE HORNS AND VISUAL STROBES <br />1.1.3. SHUT DOWN VENTILATION SYSTEMS. <br />1.1.4. DEACTIVATE MAGNETIC DOOR LOCKS. <br />1.1.5. ACTIVATE AUDIBLE HORNS AND VISUAL STROBES. <br />1.1.6. TRANSMIT THE ALARM SIGNAL TO THE CENTRAL MONITORING STATION. <br />1.2. ACTIVATION OF A DUCT MOUNTED SMOKE DETECTOR, AN AREA SMOKE DETECTOR OR HEAT DETECTOR, <br />OR SPRINKLER WATER —FLOW SWITCH SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.2.1. IDENTIFY THE POINT/CONTACT ID AT THE FACP AND SOUND THE ALARM AT THE FACP AND FAA. <br />1.2.2. ACTIVATE AUDIBLE HORNS AND VISUAL STROBES. <br />1.2.3. SHUT DOWN VENTILATION SYSTEMS. <br />1.2.4. DEACTIVATE MAGNETIC DOOR LOCKS. <br />1.2.5. A SIGNAL DEDICATED TO THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM WATER —FLOW ALARM SHALL NOT BE ABLE TO BE <br />SILENCED WHILE THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS FLOWING AT A RATE OF FLOW EQUAL TO A SINGLE HEAD <br />1.2.6. TRANSMIT THE ALARM SIGNAL TO THE CENTRAL MONITORING STATION. <br />1.3. ACTIVATION OF ANY SUPERVISORY CIRCUIT SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS AND INDICATIONS: <br />1.3.1. ANNUNCIATE AND DISPLAY THE SUPERVISORY CONDITION AT THE FACP AND FAA. <br />1.3.2, TRANSMIT THE SUPERVISORY CONDITION TO THE CENTRAL MONITORING STATION. <br />1.4. RECEIPT OF A TROUBLE SIGNAL AT THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL SHALL CAUSE THE FOLLOWING <br />ACTIONS AND INDICATIONS: <br />1.4.1.
