ALL PAVEMENT CROSS SLOPES (SLOPES PERPENDICULAR TO THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL) SHALL BE A MAXIMUM OF 2%. ALL <br />RAMPS SHALL HAVE A MAXIMUM SLOPE OF 1 IN 12. ALL LANDINGS AT STAIRS AND RAMPS SHALL HAVE A MAXIMUM SLOPE OF <br />2% (ALL DIRECTIONS). ALL WALKWAYS SHALL HAVE A MAXIMUM SLOPE LESS THAN 5% IN THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL. ALL <br />MAXIMUM SLOPES ARE ABSOLUTE AND SUPERSEDE CONSTRUCTION TOLERANCES STATED IN THE PROJECT SPECIFICATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE ENGINEER/ARCHITECT REGARDING ANY GRADE <br />REVISIONS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE PAVEMENT AREAS. THE PAVEMENT SLOPES SHALL BE REVIEWED AFTER <br />CONSTRUCTION AND PAVEMENT OVER THE MAXIMUM SLOPES SPECIFIED ABOVE SHALL BE REPLACED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S <br />EXPENSE. <br />10. PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY EXISTING ASPHALT ELEVATIONS WHERE <br />NEW PAVEMENT IS PROPOSED TO TIE INTO EXISTING PAVEMENT AND SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY OF ANY <br />DEVIATIONS FROM THE PLANS. <br />11.
