<br />GENERAL NOTES_:
<br />1. There shall,be no deviation froln these plans without prior approval
<br />from Owner & Engineer
<br />2. The contractor shall check and berify all dimensions & conditions of
<br />the job site and.repo.Kt any discrepancies or conditions that are unsafe
<br />or unsatisfactory before proceeding Frith the work.

<br />site. lie shall maintain the site &- adjacent site in a clean & orderly
<br />condition throughout the project.
<br />4. The contractor shall do all work in strict conformance to the plans,
<br />codes & ordinances, manufacturers reccomendations & acceptable trade
<br />practi.ces. In case of conflict the most stringent requirement shall
<br />govern the work.
<br />5. Any change made prior to approval by Owner & Engineer are disallowed
<br />as extras & the Contractor may have to restore to. conform to plan with-
<br />out additional compensation.
<br />6. Shop drawings of all prefabricated structural systems & mechanical
<br />systems shall bear the seal of a Florida Registered Professional Engi
<br />neer & shall be submitted to the Engineer of Record by the Contractor
<br />for approval.
<br />7. Contractor shall not scale drawings. Any information that he can-
<br />not obtain from dimensions, details or schedules, he shall coordinate
<br />with Engineer of Record.
<br />8. General Contractor shall check & coordinate work of various trades
<br />to prevent any conflicts.
<br />9. Contractor shall provide all Sub -contractors with a complete set of
<br />plans.
<br />10. Plumbing & air conditioning shall conform to the Florida Energy Code.
<br />11. Electrical work shall conform to National Electrical Code &
<br />County Code.
<br />12. Provide plastic sleeves in masonry, partitions, foundations, etc.,
<br />as required for utility services.
<br />13. All bolts, clips, bangers, etc., shall be galvanized.
<br />14. All timber construction shall conform toAITC, latest. (fb=1500 p91)
<br />15. Masonry bearing partitions shall be reinforced with a steel wire
<br />trussed type.reinforCi:ng.every•other course.
<br />16. Provide & install smoke detectors.
<br />17. Cast -in -place concrete shall be per ACI-310, ACI-301 & the Florida
<br />Building -Code. f'c=4 ksi in 28 days..
<br />18. No pipe, conduit, or junction boxes to be placed in slab or columns
<br />unless specifically shown on structural drawings.
<br />19. Reinforcing steel shall be per ACI-615, Grade 60 for main bars,
<br />Grade 40 ok for stirrups and Lies, (note: #2 bars can only be used in
<br />tie -column & tie -beams in a masonry.wall) Cover shall be 2 (two) inches,
<br />all bars in wood or metal forms, 3 (three) inches where rock or soil is
<br />used for forms.
<br />20. The sides of all auger holes in rock shall be washed & cleaned be-
<br />fore placing concrete.
<br />21. Concrete shall not be mixed -in -place in an auger hole.
<br />22. The concrete mix shall be proportioned & produce& So(have ve)ai4 (four)
<br />inch slump if consolidation is to be by vibration,
<br />h slump
<br />if by means other than vibration. The mix shall be placed within 1 (one)
<br />hour of batching, &' if the mix begins to set, no attempt to re -temper it
<br />with water shall be made & the batch shall be discarded. If a truck ar-
<br />rives in good time from the plant & the mix has less than the 4 (four),
<br />or 5 (five) inch slump, water may be added to bring the mix in complience
<br />witli the required slump, OTHERWISE, DO NOT ADD WATER AT JOB -SITE, exdept
<br />for surface finishing. In no event shall structural concrete be pumped
<br />with less than a 4 (four) inch diameter pump.
