<br />GENERAL ELECTRICAL NOTES & SPECIFICATIONS
<br />1. THE "GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT", CURRENT EDITION, PUBLISHED IN STANDARD FORM BY
<br />THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS SHALL BE PART OF THIS CONTRACT.
<br />2. IT IS NOT THE INTENT OF THESE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS TO SHOW EVERY AND ALL DETAILS OF

<br />FLORIDA BUILDING CODE (2020) NEC 2017 AND THE LATEST STATE AND LOCAL CODES THAT APPLY.
<br />4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE OUT PERMITS, PROCURE CERTIFICATES AND PAY ALL FEES CONNECTED
<br />WITH HIS WORK.
<br />5. BIDDERS SHALL VISIT THE SITE AND FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH ALL CONDITIONS SURROUNDING THE
<br />WORK. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDERS TO VISIT THE SITE OF WORK AND ACQUAINT
<br />THEMSELVES WITH ALL AVAILABLE INFORMATION REGARDING THE EXISTING FACILITIES.
<br />FAILURE OF THE BIDDERS TO SO INFORM THEMSELVES OF EXISTING CONDITIONS AND TO INCLUDE IN
<br />THEIR PROPOSALS A SUM SUFFICIENT TO COVER SAME WILL NOT ENTITLE THEM TO AN EXTRA.

<br />7. DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND INTENDED TO SHOW APPROXIMATE LOCATIONS OF ALL ELECTRICAL
<br />ITEMS. EXACT CONDUIT ROUTING SHALL BE DETERMINED IN THE FIELD, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED (LION).
<br />8. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT REQUESTS FOR SUBSTITUTION IN WRITING TO THE ENGINEER, 10 WORKING
<br />DAYS PRIOR TO BIDDING DATE.
<br />9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS FOR APPROVAL FOR ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS.
<br />SUBMIT A MINIMUM OF FOUR SETS TO THE A/E.
<br />10. THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL TOUCH UP OR REFINISH THE FACTORY FINISH OF EQUIPMENT MARRED DURING
<br />DURING SHIPMENT OR INSTALLATION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO REPAIR TO ORIGINAL
<br />CONDITIONS ANY AND ALL DAMAGES TO BUILDING SURFACES, EQUIPMENT, AND FURNISHING CAUSED
<br />DURING THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK.
<br />11. THE ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION SHALL MEET THE APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER BEFORE ACCEPTANCE BY
<br />THE OWNER.
<br />12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE A STATE LICENSED CONTRACTOR.
<br />13. THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION SHALL BE PERFORMED UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION OF A LICENSED MASTER
<br />ELECTRICIAN IN A FIRST CLASS WORKMANLIKE MANNER. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
<br />CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS AND SUPERVISION NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE
<br />WORK AS SHOWN AND/OR NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS.
<br />14. ELECTRICAL WORK SHALL NOT INTERFERE WITH CLEARANCES REQUIRED FOR GENERAL AND MECHANICAL
<br />CONSTRUCTION. SHOULD ELECTRICAL WORK BE INSTALLED WHICH INTERFERES WITH THE WORK OF
<br />OTHER TRADES, SUCH WORK SHALL BE CORRECTED AT NO COST TO THE OWNER. THE CONTRACTOR
<br />SHALL SUBMIT (4 COPIES) EQUIPMENT LAYOUT OF ALL ELECTRICAL SPACES, ROOMS, ETC., TO
<br />ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO ORDERING EQUIPMENT OR INSTALLING CONDUITS, ETC.,
<br />LAYOUTS SHALL CONSIST OF PLAN VIEWS (SCALED AT 1/2" = V-0") AND ELEVATIONS (DIMENSIONED)
<br />FOR EACH SPACE, ROOM, ETC., .AND SHALL INCLUDED EQUIPMENT FURNISHED BY OTHER TRADES.
<br />15. GROUNDING SHALL COMPLY WITH THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (ARTICLE 250) AND REQUIREMENTS
<br />OF THE INSPECTING AUTHORITY. ALL CONNECTIONS TO GROUND RODS SHALL BE MADE WITH UL
<br />APPROVED ACCESSIBLE GROUND CLAMPS, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
<br />16. UPON COMPLETION OF WORK, THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL RUBBISH CAUSED BY HIS WORK
<br />AND SHALL THOROUGHLY CLEAN ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.
<br />17. ALL WORK SHALL BE GUARANTEED FREE FROM DEFECTS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF
