<br />3. ITEMS FURNISHED BY CONTRACTOR
<br />IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ALL MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, AND
<br />ACCESSORIES NECESSARY TO MAKE A COMPLETE INSTALLATION. ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE STORED IN A SAFE, DRY
<br />PLACE IN THE MANUFACTURER'S ORIGINAL PACKAGING UNTIL READY FOR USE. THE OWNER SHALL NOT BE
<br />RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ANY PART OF THE PROJECT, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL

<br />B. ALL ITEMS REMOVED AND NOT RE -USED SHALL BE TURNED OVER TO THE OWNER. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE
<br />ANY UNSATISFACTORY ITEMS FROM THE PROJECT SITE.
<br />C. SOME EXISTING ITEMS TO REMAIN WITHOUT WORK ARE SHOWN FOR CLARITY OR REFERENCE ONLY. NOTE THAT

<br />D. DRAWINGS OF EXISTING SYSTEMS ARE BASED ON EXISTING DOCUMENTS AND FIELD CONDITIONS, SOME OF
<br />WHICH MAY BE UNVERIFIED. PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID, CONTRACTOR SHALL STUDY THE PLANS AND VISIT THE

<br />5. COORDINATION
<br />ALL WORK ON THIS PROJECT SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER AND ALL OTHER TRADES PRIOR TO
<br />BEGINNING AY WORK OR ORDERING ANY MATERIALS. CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW PLANS OF ALL DISCIPLINES
<br />INVOLVED AND ADVISE THE ARCHITECT IN WRITING OF ANY CONFLICTS, CODE OR SAFETY ISSUES THAT MAY EXIST
<br />PRIOR TO ANY FABRICATION OR ORDERING OF EQUIPMENT. RESOLUTION OF SUCH CONFLICTS WHICH ARE NOT
<br />REPORTED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION SHALL REMAIN THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND CHANGE ORDER
<br />PROPOSALS FOR SUCH WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. PROVIDE ROUTING AND OFFSETS NECESSARY TO AVOID
<br />CONFLICTS WITH STRUCTURE, FINISHES, AND WORK OF OTHERS. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL CORE
<br />PENETRATIONS AND PATCHING FOR FLOOR PENETRATIONS.
<br />6. DEVICE LOCATIONS
<br />A. INSTALL ALL DEVICES IN ACCESSIBLE LOCATIONS, EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY NOTED OR PROHIBITED BY NEC.
<br />B, PROVIDE MIN. 18x18 INCH PAINTED ALUMINUM ACCESS DOORS WITH FULL HINGE AND KEY, FOR ACCESS TO
<br />ALL ELECTRICAL DEVICES, PULL BOXES, JUNCTION BOXES, AND ACCESSORIES IN PLASTER, DRYWALL, OR
<br />INACCESSIBLE CEILINGS, OR IN WALLS. GROUP DEVICES AT A SINGLE LOCATION, AS AVAILABLE.
<br />C. ACCESS DOORS IN RATED WALLS OR CEILINGS SHALL HAVE A RATING AT LEAST EQUAL TO THE RATING OF THE
<br />WALL OR CEILING.
<br />D. ALL DEVICES, RACEWAYS, ETC. WHICH ARE EXPOSED SHALL BE PAINTED TO MATCH THE ADJACENT SURFACE OR

<br />C. WHERE MULTIPLE RACEWAYS ARE RUN EXPOSED, RUN ALL RACEWAYS SQUARE AND PARALLEL IN A NEAT

<br />TO MATCH THE PANEL IN WHICH THEY ARE INSTALLED.
<br />B. PROVIDE MULTIPLE POLE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR MULTIPLE POLE CIRCUITS. HANDLE TIES ARE NOT
<br />PERMITTED.
<br />C. PROVIDE HACR TYPE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR ALL HVAC EQUIPMENT AND WATER HEATERS.
<br />D. PROVIDE GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER BREAKERS FOR ALL OUTDOOR, BATHROOM, AND KITCHEN
<br />BRANCH CIRCUITS WHICH DO NOT UTILIZE GFCI RECEPTACLES, OR AS OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY THE

<br />14. LIGHTING
<br />A. ALL LIGHT FIXTURES SHALL BE THOSE DESCRIBED IN THE LIGHTING FIXTURE SCHEDULE OR THEIR
<br />EQUIVALENT AS APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO ORDERING. IF ALTERNATE FIXTURES ARE USED, IT
<br />SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE THEIR INSTALLATION DETAILS WITH ALL
<br />OTHER TRADES WITH REGARD TO SPACE REQUIRED, WIRING, POWER CONSUMPTION, ETC.
<br />B. LIGHTING BRANCH CIRCUITS SHALL NOT BE LOADED TO MORE THAN 80% OF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER
<br />AM PAC ITY.
<br />C. ALL LIGHT FIXTURES INSTALLED IN DAMP, WET, OR HAZARDOUS (CLASSIFIED) LOCATIONS SHALL BE LISTED
<br />FOR SUCH USE.
<br />D. INCANDESCENT LAMPS SHALL NOT BE USED EXCEPT FOR DIMMING PURPOSES OR AS OTHERWISE STATED
<br />ON PLANS OR PERMITTED BY THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
<br />E. ALL FLUORESCENT OR HID LIGHT FIXTURES SHALL BE FUSED WITH ELECTRONIC BALLAST AS REQUIRED TO
<br />MEET THE SWITCHING REQUIREMENTS DESCRIBED ELSEWHERE IN THESE DOCUMENTS OR THE AUTHORITY HAVING
<br />JURISDICTION. PROVIDE MULTIPLE BALLASTS WHERE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE MULTIPLE LIGHTING LEVELS TO
<br />COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE ENERGY CODES.
<br />F. INTERIOR LIGHTING IN ALL BUILDINGS LARGER THAN 5,000 SQUARE FEET SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH
<br />AUTOMATIC CONTROLS. CONTROLS SHALL CONSIST OF A CENTRAL TIME -OF -DAY SCHEDULING CONTROLLER OR
<br />OCCUPANCY SENSORS LOCATED IN EACH SPACE. OCCUPANCY SENSORS SHALL BE LOCATED SO THE OCCUPANT
<br />CAN SEE THE CONTROLLED LIGHTING AND SHALL BE CAPABLE OF A 4 HOUR OVERRIDE. LIGHTING CONTROL
<br />ZONES SHALL NOT EXCEED 2,500 SQUARE FEET.
<br />G. PROVIDE TIME CLOCKS OR NORTH FACING PHOTOCELLS TO CONTROL ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTING CIRCUITS
<br />AUTOMATICALLY. PROVIDE LIGHTING CONTACTORS AS REQUIRED.
<br />H. ALL EXIT SIGNS AND EMERGENCY EGRESS LIGHTING SHALL NOT BE SWITCHED AND SHALL HAVE BATTERY
<br />BACKUP OR BE CONNECTED TO THE EMERGENCY POWER SYSTEM.
<br />15. WARRANTIES AND MAINTENANCE
<br />A. ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE STARTED, TESTED, ADJUSTED, LUBRICATED, CLEANED, AND PLACED IN GOOD

<br />OPERATING CONDITION BY THE CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE ALL EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND

<br />WORKMANSHIP TO BE FREE OF DEFECTS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ACCEPTANCE BY
