No backcharges will be <br />considered for reimbursement by the Designer/Engineer without <br />advanced notification and approval by the Designer/Engineer. <br />Payments will be made in accordance to the terms of the <br />agreement. <br />12/19/20 5.00 FBC 2020 CODE UPDATE Control of Construction Site <br />The Designer/Architect and engineer of record (EOR) have no <br />control over the construction site and shall not be responsible in <br />any manner for control of the construction site including, but not <br />limited to, scheduling and sequencing of work, jobsite safety, and <br />ventilation of the building and thereby shall not be responsible for <br />the indoor air quality, or the effects thereof, for any reason <br />whatsoever. The Designer/Architect and FOR has no duty to <br />protect, without limitation, the residence, construction site, <br />materials, or equipment, from moisture, mold, fungus, fire, theft, <br />vandalism, trespass, or any other peril or condition, at any time, <br />expressly including, but not limited to, the period of time before <br />construction, during the construction of the project, or after <br />construction and the Designer/Architect and FOR has no duty to <br />take any action or preventive measures to protect such property <br />against any such peril at any time for any reason. <br />Care and Maintenance <br />Yearly maintenance and inspections by the builder/homeowner <br />are necessary for the future life of this home. Care must be taken <br />to check windows and doors for caulking, remove leaves and <br />1525 debris off roofs, make sure that water flow is away from the <br />house and have your home repainted every 3 - 5 years to protect <br />the coatings.
