Openings from a private garage <br />directly into a room used for sleeping purposes shall not be <br />permitted. Door between garage and residence shall be equipped <br />with solid doors not less than 13/8" in thickness, solid or <br />honeycomb -core steel doors not less than 13/8" thick, or <br />20-minute fire -rated doors. <br />R302.5.2 Duct Penetration. Operable windows that are provided with window opening <br />control devices that comply with Section R312.2.2. <br />Chapter 45 Private Swimming Pools, Section R4501.17.1.9 <br />All doors and windows providing direct access from the home to <br />the pool shall be equipped with an exit alarm complying with UL <br />2017 that has a minimum sound pressure rating of 85 db at 10 <br />feet. Any deactivation switch shall be located at least 54 inches <br />above the threshold of the access.
