THE <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER TO THE NEW ARCHITECTURAL PLUMBING, FIRE PROTECTI ON, <br />MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL WORK SHOWN ON THE OTHER DRAWINGS OF THIS SET TO <br />DETERMINE THE EXTENT OF DEMOLITION REQUIRED. <br />WHEN REMOVING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS!,. ALL PRECAUTIONS SHALL BE TAKEN <br />TO PREVENT STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING. IHE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE <br />INSTALLATION OF ANY STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS REQUIRED, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL OF ALL DEMOLITION AND <br />CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS GENERATED FROM WORK ON ALL FLOORS. TAKING CARE TO PREVENT <br />EXCESSIVE LOADING OF FLOOR ASSEMBLIES. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN CONTINUITY OF CIRCUITS WHERE EXISTING EQUIPMENT IS <br />TO BE REMOVED AND DOWN STREAM DEVICES MAY BE EFFECTED. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL POWER INTERRUPTIONS WITH OWNER. SEE <br />SPECIFICATIONS. <br />WHEN EXISTING ELEMENTS OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS ARE REMOVED ALL <br />REMAINING OPENINGS IN THE SLAB AND WALLS SHALL BE FILLED IN BY THE CONTRACTOR. <br />THE FIRE RATING OF THE EXI STI NG STRUCTURE SHALL BE MAINTAINED. <br />REMOVE ALL MISCELLANEOUS FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT RETAINING ITEMS TO BE IDENTIFIED <br />FOR SALVAGE AND STORAGE AT THE DIRECTION OF THE OWNER. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING DEMOLITION AND <br />CONSTRUCTION TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY AND OPERATION OF EXISTING LIFE SAFETY AND <br />EMERGENCY EGRESS EQUIPMENT. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING DEMOLITION AND <br />CONSTRUCTION TO MAINTAIN ACCESS TO ALL MEANS OF EGRESS CORRIDORS, DOORWAYS AND <br />STAIRS. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING DEMOLITION AND <br />CONSTRUCTION TO PERMIT EFFECTED AREAS TO CONTINUE TO FUNCTION TO THE GREATEST <br />EXTENT POSSIBLE. THIS EFFORT SHALL INCLUDE SCHEDULED COORDINATION WITH OWNER OF <br />ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWNS. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL OF ALL FLUORESCENT AND HID <br />TYPE LAMPS AND PROPER DISPOSAL OF SAID LAMPS AND SHALL PROVIDE VERIFICATION <br />OF LAMP DISPOSAL TO THE OWNER UPON REQUEST. <br />REMOVE ALL LIGHTING FIXTURES, RECEPTACLES AND DEVICES IN THE AREA OF DEMOLITION <br />AND PULL ALL CIRCUITS BACK TO NEXT ACTIVE DEVICE OR SOURCE OF POWER. <br />ALL CONDUIT, JUNCTION BOXES AND WIRING DEVICES THAT ARE NOT INTENDED TO RE —USED <br />MUST BE DEMOLISHED BACK TO THE SOURCE. <br />PROVIDE PANEL SCHEDULES, TO THE ENGINEER, INDICATING THE CIRCUITS MADE SPARE BY <br />DEMOLITION AND THE EXISTING CIRCUITS THAT REMAIN ACTIVE. <br />IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (CM) , GENERAL CONTRACTOR <br />( GC) , AND THE SUB —CONTRACTORS (SC) TO STUDY ALL THE DRAWINGS AND DETAILS SO THAT <br />THE INSTALLATION OF ALL NEW WORK CAN BE FULLY COORDINATED. THE CM, GC, AND SC <br />SHALL VISIT THE SITE, INCLUDING DOING AN ABOVE CEILING INSPECTION, DURING BIDDING <br />TO SATISFY HIM/HER SELF THAT ALL PROVISIONS HAVE BEEN MADE FOR ALL ASPECTS OF THIS <br />PROJECT. IF DISCREPANCIES EXIST BETWEEN DRAWINGS AND/OR SITE CONDITIONS, THE <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IN WRITING PRIOR TO BID DUE DATE. <br />FAILURE TO DO SO WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON A BASIS FOR ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION <br />TO CORRECT A DIFFICULTY OF DIFFERENCE FROM CONDITIONS INFERRED OR INDICATED ON THE <br />DRAWI NGS. <br />DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND DO NOT INDICATE ALL DEVICES TO BE DEMOLISHED. <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT JOB SITE PRIOR TO BID TO FIELD CONFIRM ALL REQUIREMENTS. <br />GENERAL NOTES: <br />A.
