THE DEMOLITION PLAN IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE THE CONTRACTOR WITH A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF <br />THE EXISTING CONDITIONS WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA EXISTING EQUIPMENT, STRUCTURE, <br />DUCTWORK, ETC. LOCATED ON DRAWING WERE DERIVED FROM EXISTING DRAWINGS AND LIMITED <br />FIELD OBSERVATIONS. THIS DRAWING MAY NOT BE ALL INCLUSIVE OF SERVICES THAT EXIST IN THE <br />PROJECT AREA. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY SERVICES AND LOCATIONS PRIOR TO ANY DEMOLITION <br />WORK. ANY DEVIATIONS IMPACTING WORK SHOWN ON THESE DOCUMENTS SHALL BE REPORTED TO <br />THE ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER PRIOR TO BEGINNING DEMOLITION. BEGINNING OF DEMOLITION SHALL <br />SIGNIFY CONTRACTOR'S ACCEPTANCE OF EXISTING CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE <br />FOR ALL REQUIRED DEMOLITION WHETHER SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR NOT. <br />2. CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM A PRE -BID SURVEY TO FIELD -VERIFY AND COORDINATE ALL <br />DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO PROCUREMENT OR FABRICATION. FIELD CONDITIONS SHALL GOVERN. <br />COORDINATE THE WORK WITH OTHER TRADES INVOLVED. COORDINATE NEW WORK WITH EXISTING <br />ELEMENTS SUCH AS THE BUILDING STRUCTURE AND ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES, SPRINKLER PIPING, <br />LIGHTS, PLUMBING, AND ELECTRICAL CONDUIT. COST OF REROUTING DUCTWORK OR PIPING DUE TO <br />CONFLICTS WITH EXISTING CONDITIONS SHALL BE PAID BY CONTRACTOR. <br />3. ALL MECHANICAL SYSTEMS SERVING OTHER SPACES OR FLOORS THAT RUN THROUGH THE PROJECT <br />AREA SHALL REMAIN ACTIVE DURING CONSTRUCTION SO AS NOT TO CAUSE ANY DISRUPTION TO <br />THESE OTHER SPACES. <br />4. TEMPORARY MECHANICAL SERVICES SHALL BE PROVIDED WHEN NEW WORK AFFECTS SERVICES <br />NEEDING TO REMAIN ACTIVE. COORDINATE SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS WITH OWNER AT LEAST TWO <br />WEEKS IN ADVANCE. <br />5. ALL EQUIPMENT REMOVED UNDER THIS PROJECT SHALL BE TURNED OVER TO THE OWNER AT THE <br />OWNER'S DISCRETION UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. <br />6. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE OR RELOCATE EXISTING CONTROLS WHERE NECESSARY. REMOVED <br />CONTROLS SHALL BE RETURNED TO OWNER. <br />7. PROPERLY REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL EXISTING TO BE REMOVED HVAC DUCTWORK, PIPING AND <br />AIR DISTRIBUTION DEVICES. CONSULT WITH OWNER AND OBTAIN OWNER'S APPROVAL PRIOR TO <br />DISPOSAL OF REMOVED MATERIAL. <br />8. PATCH HOLES LEFT IN WALLS AND FLOORS AFTER REMOVAL OF EXISTING DUCTWORK, CONDUIT, ETC. <br />TO MATCH NEW OR EXISTING CONSTRUCTION AND FIRE RATING. THIS INCLUDES ANY EXISTING <br />OPENINGS IN RATED WALLS OR FLOORS. <br />9. PROVIDE PRECONSTRUCTION TEST & BALANCE FOR SUPPLY, RETURN AND EXHAUST OF EXISTING <br />MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SERVING PROJECT AREA. INCLUDE FLOW AND STATIC PRESSURE IN MAIN <br />DUCTS, FAN STATIC PRESSURE, MOTOR HP AND FLA, PRESSURE DROP ACROSS AHU COILS AND <br />FILTERS, CHILLED WATER FLOW AND PRESSURE AT AHU. <br />10. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING THE AIR HANDLER AND DUCTWORK SERVING <br />THE AREA PRIOR TO FINAL TEST AND BALANCE. CLEANING OF THE AIR HANDLER AND DUCTWORK <br />SHALL CONSIST OF REPLACING THE FILTERS. <br />11. ALL EXISTING AIR DISTRIBUTION DEVICES LOCATED WITHIN PROJECT AREA SHALL BE FITTED WITH <br />TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FILTERS THROUGHOUT PROJECT DURATION TO HELP PREVENT <br />ACCUMULATION OF DUST IN DEVICES AND DUCTWORK. <br />12. CAP ALL DEMOLISHED BRANCH DUCT AT DUCT MAIN. CAP AND SEAL OPENINGS DURING ENTIRE <br />RENOVATION OF THE HVAC DUCTWORK. <br />13. ALL EXISTING AND/OR NEW WALL, CEILING AND FLOOR PENETRATIONS TO THE SPACE SHALL BE <br />CAULKED AND SEALED AIR AND VAPOR TIGHT AFTER DEMOLITION AND PRIOR TO NEW CONSTRUCTION <br />BY AN APPROVED CONTRACTOR. <br />0 <br />DEMO KEY NOTES <br />PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HEPA FILTERED NEGATIVE AIR FAN FOR CONSTRUCTION AREA. MAINTAIN <br />A MINIMUM 0.03" NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN THIS AREA RELATIVE TO THE ADJACENT SPACES. <br />PROVIDE VISUAL DISPLAY OF AIRFLOW DIRECTION. PROVIDE ADDITIONAL NEGATIVE AIR MACHINES <br />AS REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE MINIMUM NEGATIVE PRESSURE. PROVIDE TEMPORARY DUST BARRIER <br />PARTITIONS.
