<br />6. AT PARTITIONS, FLOORS AND ROOFS WHICH ENCLOSE THE CONSTRUCTION AREA VERIFY THAT
<br />THE EXISTING CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMPERS, DUCT PENETRATIONS,
<br />DOORS, WINDOWS AND FRAMES, MEETS THE FIRE, SMOKE AND SOUND ASSEMBLY RATINGS
<br />DESIGNATED ON THESE DRAWINGS. NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY IF DISCREPANCIES ARE
<br />DISCOVERED. AS DIRECTED, MAKE REPAIRS AND/OR MODIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO BRING THE
<br />EXISTING CONSTRUCTION UP TO THE INDICATED FIRE, SMOKE AND SOUND ASSEMBLY RATINGS.
<br />7. EXECUTE DEMOLITION WORK IN CONFORMANCE WITH ALL CODES AND ORDINANCES AS SET
<br />FORTH BY ALL AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.
<br />8. BRACE EXISTING STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS AS NECESSARY DURING DEMOLITION.
<br />9. DO NOT CUT STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS IN ANY MANNER THAT MAY RESULT IN A REDUCTION OF
<br />LOAD CARRYING CAPACITY OR LOAD/DEFLECTION RATIO. NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT IN WRITING OF ALL
<br />STRUCTURAL CUTS PRIOR TO EXECUTION SO THAT APPROVAL CAN BE OBTAINED IN ADVANCE FROM
<br />THE ARCHITECT.
<br />10. WHEN HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ARE FOUND, STOP WORK AND IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE OWNER
<br />AND THE ARCHITECT IN WRITING. REMOVAL, DISPOSAL, AND REPLACEMENT OF HAZARDOUS
<br />MATERIALS IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER.
<br />11. COORDINATE ALL ICRA REQUIREMENTS WITH THE OWNER

<br />14. IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 51 B AND NFPA 601, OBTAIN A HOT WORK PERMIT PRIOR TO
<br />BEGINNING ANY WELDING, CUTTING, BRAZING, GRINDING OR OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT GENERATE
<br />SPARKS CAPABLE OF CAUSING COMBUSTION.
<br />15. AS REQUIRED BY NFPA 30, CHAPTER 22, REMOVE ALL FLAMMABLE ITEMS, INCLUDING BUT NOT
<br />LIMITED TO COMPRESSED AIR AND GAS CANS OR CYLINDERS I.E. BRAZING, ACETYLENE, PROPANE
<br />TANKS, PAINT CANS, LUBRICANTS, ETC. FROM THE JOB SITE WHEN THE PROJECT HAS BEEN
<br />VACATED BY CONSTRUCTION PERSONNEL FOR THE DAY AND DURING ANY TIME THE FIRE ALARM
<br />SYSTEM AND FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM ARE INACTIVE.
<br />1. THE EXISTING LIFE SAFETY PLANS WERE PROVIDED TO THE ARCHITECT BY THE PROPERTY
<br />OWNER. RS&H, INC., TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACCURACY. RS&H HAS REVISED ONLY
<br />THAT AREA WITHIN THE SCOPE OF WORK.
<br />2. THE LIFE SAFETY PLANS ARE "DIAGRAMMATIC ONLY". THEIR PURPOSE IS TO REPRESENT THE
<br />LIFE SAFETY COMPONENTS FOR THE PROJECT AS INCLUDED IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

<br />AS SHOWN ON THE FIRE PROTECTION DRAWINGS.
<br />8. DO NOT PAINT SPRINKLER HEADS OR CONCEALED SPRINKLER HEAD COVERS. REPLACE ANY
<br />SPRINKLER HEADS THAT ARE ACCIDENTALLY PAINTED WITH NEW ONES.
<br />9. FOR SPACES WITH FIRE SPRINKLER HEADS AND WHERE TALL STORAGE IS ANTICIPATED (EITHER
<br />OWNER OR CONTRACTOR FURNISHED) PAINT A 1" THICK RED LINE ON THE WALLS AT 18" BELOW

<br />1. REPAIR ANY EXISTING FIREPROOFING OR RATED WALL ASSEMBLIES DAMAGED DURING DEMOLITION.

<br />APPLY ONLY TO THE LIMITS OF ARCHITECTURAL NEW CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION. SEE OTHER

<br />19. WHERE AN ARCHITECTURAL FINISHED FLOOR IS PROVIDED WHICH REQUIRES A DEPRESSED
