Provide full mortar head and bed joints.
2. Shore filled lintels as required.
3. Installation of lintel must comply with the architectural and/or structural drawings.
4. U-Lintels are manufactured with 5-1/2" long notches at the ends to accommodate
vertical cell reinforcing and grouting.
5. All lintels meet or exceed L/360 vertical deflection, except lintels 17'4' and
longer with a nominal height of 8" meet or exceed L1180.
6. Bottom field added rebar to be located at the bottom of the lintel cavity.
7. 7/32" diameter wire stirrups are welded to the bottom steel for mechanical anchorage.
8. Cast -in -place concrete may be provided in composite lintel in lieu of concrete
masonry units.
9. Safe load ratings based on rational design analysis per ACI 318 and ACI 530
10, Product Approvals: Miami Dade County, Florida Nos.20-0630.16 and 20-0630.15.
11. The exterior surface of lintels installed in exterior concrete masonry walls shall have
a coating of stucco applied in accordance with ASTM C-926 or other approved
coating.
12. Lintels loaded simultaneously with veritcal (gravity and uplift) and horizontal (lateral)
loads shoud be checked for combine loading with the following equation:
Applied vertical load + Applied horizontal load . 0
Safe vertical load Safe horizontal load T
GENERAL CONCRETE LINTEL SCHEDULE
APPROVED LINTEL MANUFACTURERS: CASTE-CRETE, QUALITY, LOTTS
8F8-1B/1T 8F8-013/1T 8RF6-0B/1T U-`,
O O O O
AF14-1B/1T 8RF14-0B/1T 81=16-013/1T 81`16-1131T
© O O
8F44 1 B/1 T 8F40 1 B/1 T 8RF400B/1T 81`321B/1T
FORM & GROUT SOLID
C.
05
8F 12-1 B/1
BAR CONT.
T
O O
O
8F20-0B/1 T
®
"V"
LINTEL DETAIL
SCALE = N.T.S.
E
K%WM
Mo
Kamm
TYPE DESIGNATION
F = FILLED WITH
#SREBAR
MIN.
ATTOP
(1) REQ'D
ALTERNATE POWERS
GROUT /U=UNFILLED
E
a °
=
R RECESSED
CLEARSTEEL
LINTEL
QTY.
