DEMOLITION PROCEDURES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A DETAILED WRITTEN DEMOLITION PLAN INCLUDING <br />BUT NOT LIMITED TO EQUIPMENT BEING USED, METHOD OF DEMOLITION, SEQUENCING <br />OF DEMOLITION AND TEMPORARY SHORING IF NECESSARY FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO <br />COMMENCING ANY DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES. <br />2. ITEMS TO BE DEMOLISHED AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS ARE INTENDED TO <br />SHOW THE GENERAL SCOPE OF THE DEMOLITION SCOPE. <br />3. THE DRAWINGS DO NOT REPRESENT IN DETAIL ALL ITEMS OR SITUATIONS MAY BE <br />ENCOUNTERED DURING DEMOLITION. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO <br />REMOVE, PROTECT AND MAKE CORRECTIONS F.S REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE THE <br />DRAWING INTENT. <br />4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY EXACT QUANTITIES OF ALL ITEMS TO BE <br />REMOVED. <br />5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL RUBBISH AND WASTE MATERIALS BOTH <br />FROM HIS OWN AND OTHER SUBCONTRACTORS ON A DAILY BASES. <br />6. PROVIDE TEMPORARY BARRIERS AS REQUIRED TO PREVENT THE INFILTRATION OF <br />PRECIPITATION, WIND OR DUST TO THE INTERIOR OF THE STRUCTURE TO REMAIN. <br />Level 1 - Demo Plan <br />3/8 - 11-011 <br />7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PATCH AND REPAIR ALL EXISTING CONSTRUCTION <br />DISTURBED BY THE WORK. <br />8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL USE EXTREME CAUTION IN AREAS OF DEMOLITION <br />WHICH MAY DISTURB EXISTING STRUCTURES. TEMPORARY SHORING, BARRICADES, <br />DUST PARTITIONS, ETC. SHALL BE PROVIDED AS REQUIRED TO PROTECT ALL EXISTING <br />STRUCTURES AND PROPERTY. <br />9. ALL DEBRIS REMOVED FROM THE SITE SHALL BE DISPOSED OF IN A LEGAL MANNER. <br />10. ALL UTILITY ITEMS TO BE REMOVED SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH PROPER <br />UTILITY COMPANIES. <br />11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DISCONNECT UTILITY CONNECTIONS FOR EQUIPMENT <br />SCHEDULED TO BE REMOVED. <br />12. VERIFY LOCATION OF EXISTING LINTELS AND SHORE UP ROOF/ WALLS AS <br />REQUIRED BEFORE REMOVING WALL. <br />13. VERIFY LOCATION OF EXISTING ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING AND ALL MECHANICAL <br />DUCT WORK. REMOVE LINES NOT TO BE RE -USED. CAP PLUMBING LINES AS <br />REQUIRED. <br />COVER OVER GLASS BLOCK <br />14. REMOVE TO SOURCE SHALL BE ABANDONED COMMUNICATION CABLES (DATA, <br />TELEPHONE, FIRE ALARM AND AUDIO/ VIDEO CABLES) IF NOT TAGGED FOR FUTURE <br />USE. <br />15. EXISTING PIPES NOT INDICATED ON DRAWINGS (STEAM, WATER, DRAINAGE, GAS, <br />VENT, PIPE, STACKS, ETC.) WHICH ARE TO BE REMOVED DURING DEMOLITION MUST <br />BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT AND VERIFIED BY THE <br />CONTRACTOR AS PER THEIR USE. <br />16. VERIFY THAT ALL UTILITY SERVICES TO BE DEMOLISHED AND/ OR ABANDONED <br />HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED. <br />17. DO NOT SHUT OFF OR CAP UTILITIES WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. COORDINATE WORK <br />WITH LOCAL UTILITY PROVIDERS. <br />18. RESTORE ALL IMPROVEMENTS DAMAGED BY THIS WORK TO THEIR ORIGINAL <br />CONDITION AS ACCEPTABLE TO OWNER. REPAIR ANY DAMAGE TO ADJACENT <br />STRUCTURES, UTILITIES, SITE AND WORK OF THIS CONTRACT TO REMAIN AT NO <br />ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. <br />19. SPRINKLE DEBRIS WITH WATER AS NECESSARY TO LIMIT DUST TO THE LOWEST <br />PRACTICABLE LEVEL. DO NOT SPRINKLE TO EXTENT CAUSING FLOODING OR <br />CONTAMINATED RUN-OFF. <br />20. REMOVE EXISTING ABOVE -GRADE AND BELOW -GRADE IMPROVEMENTS AS <br />INDICATED AND AS NECESSARY TO FACILITATE NEW CONSTRUCTION. <br />21. PROVIDE AND MAIN MAINTAIN BARRICADES, LIGHTING AND GUARDRAILS AS <br />REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE CODES AND REGULATIONS TO PROTECT OCCUPANTS OF <br />BUILDING AND WORKERS. <br />22. COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL CODES AND REGULATIONS <br />PERTAINING TO SAFETY OF PERSONS, PROPERTY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. <br />23. PREVENT MOVEMENT OR SETTLEMENT OF STRUCTURES. PROVIDE AND PLACE <br />BRACING OR SHORING AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SAFETY AND SUPPORT OF <br />STRUCTURE. ASSUME LIABILITY FOR SUCH MOVEMENT, SETTLEMENT, DAMAGE OR <br />INJURY. <br />24. CEASE OPERATIONS AND NOTIFY THE OWNER IMMEDIATELY IF SAFETY OF <br />STRUCTURE APPEARS TO BE ENDANGERED. DO NOT RESUME OPERATIONS UNTIL <br />SAFETY IS RESTORED. <br />25.
