<br />PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
<br />THIS IS A 100% DEDICATED OUTDOOR AIR SYSTEM (DOAS); PERFORMANCE IS OF THE UTMOST
<br />IMPORTANCE TO THE QUALITY OF THE INDOOR AIR ENVIRONMENT. THIS UNIT IS SPECIFIED TO
<br />PRODUCE A LEAVING AIR TEMPERATURE, AND RESULTING RELATIVE HUMIDITY, TO WITHIN PLUS
<br />OR MINUS 2.0 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT OF SET -POINT. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
<br />DESERT AIRE AND DECTRON ARE ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS OF THIS PRODUCT. ALL
<br />MANUFACTURER'S, INCLUDING THE TWO LISTED MANUFACTURERS, WISHING TO BID THEIR
<br />PRODUCT MUST CERTIFY IN WRITING VIA U.S. MAIL TO THE ENGINEER 10 DAYS PRIOR TO BID
<br />DATE (AND AGAIN INCLUDED IN THE SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS) THAT THE EQUIPMENT PROVIDED
<br />WILL MEET THE LEAVING AIR TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS OF PLUS OR MINUS 2.0 DEGREES
<br />FAHRENHEIT IN ALL OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS. THE LETTER OF CERTIFICATION MUST BE SIGNED
<br />BY ONE OF THE MANUFACTURERS CORPORATE OFFICERS IN THE FORM OF A LETTER TO THE
<br />ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE CERTIFICATION LETTER MUST CONFIRM THAT THE SUBMITTED
<br />EQUIPMENT WILL OPERATE THE COMPRESSORS AT AN ENTERING AIR TEMPERATURE TO A
<br />MINIMUM OF THE SPECIFIED EQUIPMENTS DESIGNED LEAVING AIR DEW -POINT, NO
<br />EXCEPTIONS, AND THAT THE UNIT WILL MEET THE LEAVING AIR TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS
<br />OF PLUS OR MINUS 2.0 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT IN ALL OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS, NO
<br />EXCEPTIONS. FURTHERMORE, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER, THE MANUFACTURER
<br />MUST PROVIDE SUPCO LTH DATA LOGGERS, ACCURATE TO 1.0 DEGREE FAHRENHEIT, MOUNTED
<br />IN THE DISCHARGE AIR AND ENTERING AIR DUCTS, TO TEST THE UNIT FOR LEAVING AIR
<br />TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY COMPLIANCE UNDER THE TESTED ENTERING AIR
<br />TEMPERATURE. DATA SHALL BE LOGGED EVERY THREE MINUTES, RECORDED IN AN EXCEL
<br />SPREADSHEET FORMAT WITH CORRESPONDING CHARTS DOCUMENTING THE UNITS
<br />PERFORMANCE, PROVIDED MONTHLY TO THE ENGINEER. DATA SHALL BE CERTIFIED BY THE
<br />MANUFACTURER. TESTING SHALL COMMENCE AT TIME OF BUILDING TURNOVER TO THE OWNER
<br />AND CONTINUE FOR A PERIOD OF 3 MONTHS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE SPECIFIED
<br />TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS WILL REQUIRE REMOVAL OF THE
<br />SUBSTANDARD EQUIPMENT AND REPLACEMENT WITH EQUIPMENT COMPLYING WITH THE PROJECT
<br />REQUIREMENTS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. ALL ADDITIONAL TIME REQUIRED IN
<br />RETESTING, MEETING ATTENDANCE BY THE ENGINEER, AND DATA REVIEW SHALL BE PAID FOR
<br />BY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE SUBSTANDARD EQUIPMENT.
