<br />6. CONTRACTOR SHALL PAINT ALL NEW CONDUIT
<br />EXPOSED TO SALES FLOOR. MATCH CEILING OR
<br />ADJACENT WALL COLOR (WHERE APPLICABLE). CQNDUIT
<br />SHALL BE PAINTED PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.

<br />1. ALL DEMOLITION SHALL BE CARRIED OUT IN A SAFE
<br />MANNER AND IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH OSHA
<br />REGULATIONS.
<br />2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY THE EXTENT OF
<br />DEMOLITION. THE WORK INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED
<br />TO, THE DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF WALLS, DOORS,
<br />FLOORS, AND ELECTRICAL ITEMS INCLUDING CONDUITS AS
<br />SHOWN ON DRAWING OR AS REQUIRED FOR THE
<br />INSTALLATION OF NEW WORK FOR A COMPLETE JOB.
<br />3. WHEN UTILITIES ARE REMOVED, CAP AND SEAL A
<br />MINIMUM OF 8" BELOW FINISH FLOOR OR A MINIMUM OF
<br />6" ABOVE FINISHED CEILING. SHOW ALL ABANDONED AND
<br />CAPPED UTILITIES ON AS—BUILTS, DRAWINGS, AND
<br />RECORDED DOCUMENTS.
<br />4. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE
<br />ADEQUATE SHORING, BRACING, AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS
<br />AND TO KEEP THE EXISTING STRUCTURE INTACT AND IN
<br />A SAFE CONDITION DURING THE REMOVAL OF
<br />STRUCTURAL ITEMS AND NEW CONSTRUCTION.
<br />5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN A REGISTERED
<br />PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER TO DESIGN THE SHORING AND
<br />SPECIFY DEMOLITION PROCEDURES.
<br />6. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MEANS
<br />AND METHODS OF DEMOLITION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION.
<br />PRIOR TO THE EXCAVATION OF FOUNDATIONS ADJACENT
<br />TO THE EXISTING STRUCTURE, PROVIDE ADEQUATE
<br />SUPPORT FOR THE SUB —BASE TO PREVENT
<br />UNDERMINING.
<br />7. DURING DEMOLITION AND RECONSTRUCTION, THE
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE WALMART
<br />MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ANY
<br />REQUIRED SAFETY BARRIERS OR BARRICADES AND DUST
<br />WALLS. REFER TO THE WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES
<br />CONSTRUCTION MANAGER FOR PHASING AND SCHEDULING
<br />DEMOLITION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION.
<br />8. IMMEDIATE SALVAGE/LEGAL DISPOSAL OF ALL
<br />DECOMMISSIONED EQUIPMENT SHALL BE THE
<br />RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. AT THE
<br />DISCRETION OF THE WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES
<br />CONSTRUCTION MANAGER WALMART SHALL RETAIN THE
<br />OPTION TO OCCASIONALLY SALVAGE EMS EQUIPMENT,
<br />VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE EQUIPMENT, COMPRESSORS,
<br />WALK—IN DOORS, EVAPORATORS, REFRIGERATED CASES,
<br />ETC. FROM REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT TO BE REPLACED
<br />DURING THE CAP—X PROJECT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
<br />COORDINATE WITH THE WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES
<br />CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ALL ITEMS TO BE RETAINED BY
<br />WALMART PRIOR TO REMOVAL OF THE EQUIPMENT SHOWN
<br />ON THE DEMOLITION PLANS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
<br />CAREFULLY REMOVE ANY ITEMS TO BE RETAINED BY
<br />WALMART AND DELIVER THOSE ITEMS, READY FOR
<br />SHIPMENT, TO THE WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES
<br />CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. ALL REMOVED ITEMS NOT
<br />ALLOCATED FOR SALVAGE BY WALMART SHALL BE THE
<br />CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO IMMEDIATELY REMOVE
<br />FROM THE JOB SITE AND ARRANGE DISPOSAL IN
<br />ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL CODES.
<br />DEMOLITION NOTES
<br />1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE EXISTING
<br />REFRIGERATED CASES AND EQUIPMENT AS SHOWN ON
<br />DEMOLITION PLAN. PROPERLY PUMP DOWN AND
<br />RECYCLE REFRIGERANT. PREPARE FOR DISPOSAL.
<br />PROMPTLY HAUL OFF AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF
<br />AND/OR RECYCLE ALL EQUIPMENT REMOVED FROM
<br />STORE.
<br />2. WHERE APPLICABLE COOLER PANEL MANUFACTURER
<br />SHALL DEMOLISH AND PROMPTLY HAUL OFF WALK—IN
<br />PANELS AND DOORS TO BE REPLACED.
<br />3. DURING DEMOLITION AND RECONSTRUCTION PHASES,
<br />COORDINATE LOCATION OF ALL DUST WALLS AND
<br />SECURITY ENCLOSURES WITH WALMART STORE
