<br />DEMOLITION GENERAL NOTES
<br />1. DEMOLITION PLANS SHOW APPROXIMATE LAYOUT OF THE EXISTING BUILDING AND ARE NOT
<br />INTENDED TO REPRESENT PRECISE "AS -BUILT" CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR AND ALL
<br />SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL VISIT THE PROJECT SITE AND BECOME FAMILIAR WITH ALL JOB
<br />CONDITIONS, INCLUDING EXISTING MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, AND ELECTRICAL WORK.
<br />2.SHOULD THE CONTRACTOR ENCOUNTER CONDITIONS AT THE SITE MATERIALLY DIFFERING FROM
<br />THOSE INDICATED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY GIVE

<br />7.EXISTING CONSTRUCTION SHOWN TO REMAIN INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WALLS, PARTITIONS,
<br />DOORS, FRAMES, CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS BEYOND THE SCOPED AREA ETC. SHALL BE
<br />PROTECTED FROM WEATHER AND OTHER DAMAGE DURING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. DAMAGE TO

<br />10.EXISTING UTILITIES OR OTHER MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL OR PLUMBING EQUIPMENT REQUIRING

<br />DEVICES, SMOKE ALARMS, SPRINKLER HEADS, EXIT SIGNS, ASSOCIATED WIRING, AND OTHER LIFE
<br />SAFETY DEVICES IN OPERATION. RELOCATE AS REQUIRED IN NEW PLAN.
<br />12.EXISTING CONCRETE FLOOR SLABS, MASONRY WALLS AND EXISTING STRUCTURAL FRAMING
<br />SYSTEMS SHOWN TO BE REMOVED SHALL BE CLEANLY SAWCUT FROM EXISTING CONSTRUCTION.
<br />COMPLETELY REMOVE FOOTINGS, FOUNDATIONS AND ABOVEGROUND AND UNDERGROUND
<br />CONSTRUCTION AND INDICATED ON DRAWINGS.
<br />13.EXISTING EXTERIOR WALL INSULATION SHALL BE LEFT IN PLACE OR SHALL BE REPLACED WITH
<br />NEW MATERIAL OF EQUAL INSULATING VALUE.
<br />14.WHERE FINISHES ARE SHOWN TO BE REMOVED FROM EXISTING CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR AND
<br />PATCH REMAINING SUBSTRATES AND PREPARE FOR NEW FINISH. CAREFULLY REPLACE AND PATCH
<br />ALL REMAINING SUBSTRATES THAT WERE ORIGINALLY CONCEALED BY EXISTING FINISHES, BUT WILL
<br />NOW BE EXPOSED IN THE NEW CONSTRUCTION.
<br />15.ALL INFILL OR REPLACEMENT WORK IS TO MATCH EXISTING CONDITIONS IN MATERIALS,
<br />CONSTRUCTION, RATING AND FINISH, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED ELSEWHERE IN THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
<br />16.EXISTING CONDITIONS DISTURBED BY NEW WORK MUST BE RESTORED WITH SIMILAR NEW
<br />MATERIAL TO A CLEAN NEW CONDITION. ALL NEW MATERIALS SHALL MATCH EXISTING UNLESS
<br />OTHERWISE NOTED.
<br />17.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEBRIS REMOVAL. DO NOT ALLOW DEBRIS TO
<br />ACCUMULATE. ALL AREAS TO BE LEFT CLEAN DAILY. WASH AND CLEAN ALL WORK AFFECTED BY
<br />CONSTRUCTION AT COMPLETION OF PROJECT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL WORK
<br />WITH TENANT AND SHALL VERIFY ALL TENANT REQUESTS WITH OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO

<br />183HE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CORRECTION OF IRREGULARITIES IN FLOOR
