<br />RESOLUTION <br />No. 19~, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING A POLICY TO ENCOURAGE REMOVAL OF SUB- <br />STANDA-~D STRUCTURES FOR INCENTIVES TO OWNERS OF SUB-STANDARD <br />STRUC~URES FOR REMOVAL OF SAME. <br /> <br />WrlER~S, the ,City of Zephyrhills, acknowledges that <br />within its cc~porate city boundaries, there exists certain <br />structures whici.. are sub-staI?-dard, and pose a possible hazard <br /> <br />to the welfare of the public at large, and <br />" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of 'the City, of Zephyrhills <br /> <br />desires to adopt a policy encouraging removal of sub-standard <br />structures and providing incentives to owners for th~ ~emoval <br />of said structures. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED IN REGULAR MEETING, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. It shall be tbe policy of the City of Zephyrhills to <br />encourage removal of sub-standard structures and to provide <br />financial incentives. to owner s for the removal of same,. <br /> <br />2. The City shall provide incentives to owners in the <br />form of a waiver, of either all or part of certain specific <br />City fees, as more particularly set out below. <br />3. The amount of City fees to be waived shall be <br />calculated at the rate of fifty cents per square'foot of the <br />gross floor area of the sub-standard structure to be removed <br /> <br />up to an amount not to exceed $1,000.00. <br />4. City Council may, at its discretion, exceed the <br />maximum amount of waivable fee for a good cause. <br />5. All of the following fees, up to the maximum amount <br />allowed, may be waived: <br /> <br />Demolition permit <br />Site plan review fee <br />Rezoning petition fee <br />Variance petition <br />Building permit <br />Water connection fee (res.) <br />Sew~r connection fee (res.) <br />Elect~ical permit <br />Plumbing <br />Legal advertising for rezoning <br /> <br /> <br />'A~~~ <br />"GLORIA BROWN . <br />President of City Council <br />
