<br />Invitation to Bid <br />Bid Number 11-92-14 <br />City of Zephyrhills <br /> <br />Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the City <br />Manager, 5335 8th Street, Zephyrhills, Florida 33540, until 4 <br />p.m., Thursday, November 5, 1992, for the following: <br /> <br />Rental Rehabilitation Program <br />(Improvements to a quadplex) <br /> <br />Bids must be in a sealed envelope plainly marked "Bids on <br />Rental Rehabilitation Program". Bids will be opened on <br />Thursday, November 5, 1992, at 4 p.m. at the Council <br />Chambers, 5335 8th Street, Zephyrhills, Florida 33540. The <br />bid opening is open to the public. <br /> <br />The City of Zephyrhills reserves the right to reject any <br />and/or all bids or any portion thereof, and/or accept the bid <br />deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Bids may be <br />accepted in whole or part. Any bid received later than 4 <br />p.m. November 5, 1992 will be returned unopened. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> <br />The work specified herein consists of furnishing all required <br />labor, materials, supplies and implements necessary for the <br />improvements to the quadplex as specified. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> <br />Improvements will be made to a quadplex (two one-bedroom <br />apartments and two two-bedroom apartments) requiring specific <br />rehabilitation. Required improvements are available from the <br />Building Department at 788-6611 and include electrical work, <br />carpentry, installation of central heat and air conditioning, <br />flooring, window replacement, etc. The quadplex is located at <br />5317 10th St., and 38605 5th Ave., Zephyrhills, Florida <br />33540. Inspections are by appointment only. <br /> <br />The City of Zephyrhills is a subrecipient of the Rental <br />Rehabilitation funds provided by the U.S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and are disbursed through <br />Pasco County, Florida. This is a federally funded program <br />and federal guidelines must be adhered to. Davis-Bacon wage <br />rates do not apply to residential projects. <br /> <br />INSURANCE: <br /> <br />Those submitting bids shall furnish evidence of liability <br />insurance, workman's compensation insurance and unemployment <br />insurance if applicable. Eligibility will be required to <br />accept federal compensation and bidding firms will be checked <br />to insure they are not on the Federal Debarred List. <br />
