<br />use from the wide side of the toilet stall and shall be no more <br />than 44 inches above the floor. <br /> <br />Dispensers. <br />Toilet paper dispensers shall comply with Controls and <br />operating Mechanisms - Operation section of this manual and shall <br />be installed within reach, as shown in Figure 52. <br /> <br />TOILET STALLS (ANSI Al17.1, 4.17, 1986 and Subsections <br />553.48{4){k}{2,3,4,&8}, F. S.) <br /> <br />General. <br />Accessible toilet stalls shall be on an accessible route and <br />shall comply with the requirements of Toilet Stalls section of <br />this manual. <br /> <br />Water Closets. <br />Water closets in accessible stalls shall comply with Water <br />Closets section of this manual. <br /> <br />Size and Arrangement. <br /> <br />1. The size and arrangement of toilet stalls shall comply <br />with Figure 53. <br /> <br />2. The accessible toilet stall shall be at least 68 inches <br />by 68 inches and contain an accessible lavatory within it. <br /> <br />3. The accessible water closet shall be located in the <br />corner diagonal to the stall door. <br /> <br />4. Arrangements shown for stall may be reversed to allow <br />either a left-hand or a right-hand approach. <br /> <br />Doors. <br />Toilet stall doors shall comply with Doors section of this <br />manual, except that if the approach is to the latch side of the <br />stall door, the clearance between the door side of the stall and <br />any obstruction may be reduced to a minimum of 42 inches. The <br />stall door shall be located in the wall adjacent to the <br />accessible lavatory, as far from the lavatory as possible. The <br />accessible stall door shall swing out and shall be at least 32 <br />inches wide and shall be of the self-closing type. Such <br />lavatories shall be counted as part of the required fixture count <br />for the building. (For additional information see Lavatories, <br />Sinks, and Mirrors section of this manual.) <br /> <br />Grab Bars. <br />Shall be at least 24 inches long and shall be centered at <br />the leading edge of the water closet. Grab bars complying with <br />the length and positioning shown in Figure 52 shall be provided <br />and shall also comply with the requirements of Grab Bars, and Tub <br />and Shower Seats section of this manual. <br /> <br />44 <br />
