<br />MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM BASIC SYSTEMS <br /> <br />.' <br />.. <br /> <br />The maximum basic system, using a distributor, <br />consists of eight SW-2 appliance nozzles and a <br />total of eight SP-2 duct and plenum nozzles. <br />The minimum basic system, using a distributor, <br />consists of eight SW-2 appliance nozzles and a <br />total of four SP-2 duct and/or plenum nozzles, <br />For maximum and minimum extended systems, <br />see Section 6 of this manual. <br /> <br />PLENUM NOZZLE COVERAGE <br /> <br />Maximum Piping. Eight SP.2 Nozzles <br />With maximum piping, using eight SW-2 nozzles <br />and eight SP-2 nozzles, and assuming that four <br />SP-2 nozzles are used for duct protection and four <br />SP-2 nozzles are used for plenum protection, the <br />following plenum coverages are possible. <br />(1) A plenum of up to 48 feet long and 4 feet <br />wide can be protected by placing two SP-2 <br />nozzles, back-to-back, located on the quarter <br />points of the plenum length (See Figure 3-12). <br /> <br />:. <br /> <br /> <br />Figure 3-12.
