<br />B. UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS AND CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
<br />If the owner has hired a contractor or contractors to undertake wort, they lilY be required to be licensed in accordance with
<br />state and local regulations. If the contractor is not licensed as required by law, both the owner and contractor .y be
<br />cited for a lisdeteanor violation under state law. If the owner or intended contractor are uncertain as to what licensing
<br />requirl!leDts .y apply for the intended work, they are advised to contact the City of Zepbyrhills Building DepartJent, (813)
<br />788-6611.

<br />FurtheI'lOre, if the owner has hired a contractor or contractors, he is advised to have the contractor(s) sign portions of the
<br />"Contractor Sections" of this application for which they Ifill be responsible. If you, as the owner sign as the contractor,
<br />you are indicating that you, rather than the contractor, are responsible for the wort. If the contractor Ifisbes you to sign
<br />as contractor that .y be an indication that he is not properly licensed and is not entitled to pemitting priVileges in the
<br />City of Zepbyrhills.

<br />A pemit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed Ifith the wort and not as authority to violate, cancel alter, or
<br />set aside any provisions of the technical codes, nor shall issuance of a pemit prevent the Building Official frOl thereafter
<br />requiring a correction of errors in plans, construction, or violations of any code. Ivery pemit issued shall beCOle invalid
<br />unless the wort authoriled by such perlit is cOlleDced within sillOllths of issuance, or if wort authoriled by the pemit is
<br />suspended or abandoned for a period of six IOnths after the tile the work is m.enced. One 90 day extension of tile, .y be
<br />allowed for the pemit with fee charge of $15.00. the extension shall be requested in writing to the Building Official. An
<br />approved inspection lUSt be logged during each sillODth period, or the project wi11 be considered abandoned.
