It also allows fast installation with fewer nails, using common nails
for all connections.
MATERIAL: LUS-18 gauge; HUS26', 28, 210-16 gauge; HGUS-12 gauge; all others-14 gauge
FINISH: Galvanized. Selected products available in stainless steel and Z-MAX coating.
INSTALLATION:. Use all specified fasteners. See General Notes.
· Nails must be driven at an angle through the truss into the carrying member to achieve table loads.
· This connector series is not designed for welded or nailer applications,
· lUS-16d sinkers may be used in place of 10d commons with no load reduction.
· Where 16<:1 nails are specified, 10d common nails or 16d sinker nails (9 gauge x 3%")
maybe used at 0.83 Qf the table loads.
· When using single 2x carrying members, use 10d x 1 %" nails into the carrying member, and
1 Od commons into the carried member, and reduce the load to 0.67 of the table value.
OPTIONS: . These hangers cannot be modified except as noted here.
· HUS hangers, except HUS26, 28, and 210, are available with "A" flanges turned in
(see HUSC illustration),
· Other sizes available; consult your Simpson representative,
CODE NUMBERS: BOCA, ICBO, SBCCI Nos, NER-209, NER-413 and NER-421, Dade County,
FL No, 90-0702.4 and 93-0828,8, Table loads are based on the 1991 NOS and
may differ from code reports due to revision lag time.

HUS210
(HHUS similar)

Patent Nos. 4,291,996
and 4,480,941
Canada Patent 1,193,418

HGUS28-2

1, Uplift loads include a 33% increase
for wind or earthquake loading with
no further increase allowed,
Reduce by 33% for normal loading
criteria suCh as in cantilever
construction,

14 QCopjTight 1993 SIMPSON STRONG-TIE COMPANY, INC,

DOUG RR-LARCH ALLOWABLE LOADS -
MODEL AVG ROOF
NO,1 ULT UPUFT' FLOOR
(100) SNOW CONST WIND . <,""r- (1'
(115) (125) (133)
LUS24 3850 470 640 735 800 855 390 545 625 680 725
LUS26 5167 935 835 960 1045 1115 780 705 810 880 935
HUS26 / 10000 1550 2565 2950 320'5 3315 1390 2155 2475 254Q, 2580;
LUS28 6067 935 1015 1170 1270 1355 785 860' 990 1075 ;150
HUS28 13167 2000 3315 3430 3505 3570 1855 2580 2680 2745 2800
LUS210 7750 935 1280 1470 1600 1705 780 1085 1250 1360 1450
HUS210 18833 2845 3505 3650 3750 3830 2320 2745 2870 2955 3025
LUS24-2 5303 565 765 880 960 1020 465 640 735 800 855
LUS26-2 6077 1140 1000 1150 1250 1335 925 820 945 1025 1095
HUS26-2 6077 1080 1005 1155 1255 1340 875 825 950 1030 1100
HHUS26-2 14667 1550 2580 2965 3255 3440 1395 2165 2490 2710 2890
HGUS26-2 - 2255 3695 4250 4620 4835 1840 3125 3590 3905 4165
LUS28-2 7750 1075 1265 1455 1585 1690 875 1050 1210 1315 1405
HUS28-2 7750 1550 1505 1730 1885 2010 1315 1240 1425 1550 1650
HHUS28-2 19850 2000 3885 4465 4855 5180 1860 3275 3765 4095 4370
HGUS28-2 25180 2650 6140 7060 7675 8000 2300 5225 6010 6125 6195
LUS21 0-2 10907 1550 1765 2030 2210 2355 1390 1465 1680 1830 1950
HUS21 0-2 10907 2160 2010 2310 2510 2680 1755 1650 1900 2065 2200
HHUS21 0-2 22167 2855 5190 5900 5900 5900 2330 4385 4795 4875 4945
HGUS21 0-2 28333 3385 7750 8085 8195 8290 2760 6085 6235 6330 6415
LUS214-2 12750 1550 2030 2335 2540 2710 1390 1695 1945 2115 2255
LUS44 5303 540 765 880 960 1020 435 640 735 800 855
LUS46 6077 1075 1000 1150 1250 1335 875 -- 820 945 1025 1095
HUS46 6077 1080 1005 1155 1255 1340 875 825 950 1030 1100
HHUS46 14667 1550 2580 2965 3225 3440 1395 2165 2490 2710 2890
LUS48 7750 1075 1265 1455 1585 1690 875 1050 1210 1315 1405
HUS48 7750 1550 1505 1730 1885 2010 1315 1240 1425 1550 1650
HHUS48 19850 2000. 3885 4465 4855 5180 1860 3275 3765 4095 4370
HGUS48 25180 2650 6140 7060 7675 8000 2300 5225 6010 6530 6965
LUS410 10907 1550 1765 2030 2210 2355 1310 1465 1680 1830 1950
HUS410 10907 2160 2010 2310 2510 2680 1755 1650 1900 2065 2200
HHUS410 22167 2855 5190 5900 5900 5900 2300 4385 5040 5480 5585
HGUS410 28333 3385 7750 8665 8665 8665 2760 6605 7085 7180 7265
HGUS412 35000 3945 9230 9430 9560 9670 3220 7100 7270 7385 7485
LUS414 12750 1550 2030 2335 2540 2710 1390 1695 1945 2115 2255
HGUS414 35000 4510 9420 9645 9800 9925 3680 7265 7460 7590 7700
HGUS26-3 25180 2035 3420 3935 4275 4560 1520 2785 3205 3485 3715
HGUS28-3 - 2820 6140 7060 7675 8000 2300 5225 6010 6530 6965
HGUS210-3 ' - 3385 7750 8665 8665 8665 2760 6605 7595 8255 8665
HGUS5.50/10 28333 3385 7750 8665 8665 8665 2760 6605 7085 7180 7265
HGUS5.50/12 35000 3945 9365 10770 11335 11335 3220 7100 7270 7385 7485
HGUS5.50/14 35000 4510 10980 11335 11335 11335 3680 7265 8480 7590 7700
HGUS7.25110 28333 3385 7750 8665 8665 8665 2760 6605 7085 7180 7265
HGUS7.25112 35000 3945 9365 10770 11335 11335 3220 7100 7270 7385 7485
HGUS7,25114 35000 4510 10980 11335 11335 11335 3680 7265 8460 7590 7700

..~J.)
~'

.",h
..
