Such circuits shall have no other <br />outlets. 1996 NEC 210-52(d) <br /> <br />All 125-volt, single phase, 15- and 20-ampere <br />receptacles installed in bathrooms shall have <br />ground-fault-circuit-interrupter protection for <br />personnel. 1996 NEC 210-8(a)(1) <br /> <br />Bedroom: Smoke detectors shall be installed outside of <br />each separate sleeping area in the immediate <br />vicinity of the bedrooms. In new construction <br />a smoke detector also shall be installed in each <br />sleeping room. NFPA 72 (2-2.1.1.1) <br /> <br />When alterations, repairs or additions requiring <br />a permit occur, or when one or more sleeping <br />rooms are added or created in existing dwellings, <br />the entire building shall be provided with smoke <br />detectors located as required for new dwellings; <br />the smoke detectors are not required to be <br />interconnected unless other remodeling <br />considerations require removal of the appropriate <br />wall and ceiling coverings to facilitate concealed <br />interconnected wiring.
