<br />state and local regulations. If tbe contractor is not licensed as required by law, botb tbe owner and contractor aily be
<br />cited for a .isdeteanor violation under state law. If tbe owner or intended contractor are uncertain as to what licensing
<br />requirelents laY apply for tbe intended work, tbey are advised to contact tbe City of Zepbyrbills Building Departlent, (813)
<br />788-6611.

<br />FurtherlOre, if tbe owner has hired a contractor or contractors, he is advised to have tbe contractor(s} sign portions of tbe
<br />IIContractor Sections" of tbis application for which tbey will be responsible. If you, as the owner sign as the contractor,
<br />you are indicating that you, rather than the contractor, are responsible for tbe work. If the contractor wishes you to sign
<br />as contractor tbat laY be an indication tbat he is not properly licensed and is not entitled to penitting privileges in the
<br />City of Zephyrhills.

<br />installation bas cOllenced prior to issuance of a penit and that all work will be perfol'led to Ret standards of all laws
<br />regulating construction, City codes, loning regulations, and land developlent regulations in the jurisdiction. I also
<br />certify that I understand that tbe regulations of otber goverDIeDtal agencies laY apply to the intended work, and that it is

<br />addressing a .cOlpensating voluten will be sublitted whicb is prepared by a professional engineer registered in tbe State of
<br />Florida prior to per.it issuance.

<br />A penit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed witb tbe work and not as authority to violate, cancel alter, or
<br />set aside any provisions of the technical codes, nor shall issuance of a penit prevent tbe Building Official frOl thereafter
<br />requiring a correction of errors in plans, construction, or violations of any code. Every penit issued shall beCOle invalid
<br />unless the work authorized by such penit is COllenced witbin six IOnths of issuance, or if work authoriled by the penit is
<br />suspended or abandoned for a period of six IOnths after the till! tbe work is cOllenced. One 90 day extension of tile, lilY be
<br />allowed for the pe~t with fee charge of $15.00. Tbe extension sball be requested in writing to the Building Official. An
<br />approved inspection lUst be logged during each sixlOnth period, or the project will be considered abandoned.
