Features

Selectable Alarm Current- (2-Wire Model)
Allows a choice of 25 ma, 50. ma, or 90. ma,

135F Heat Sensor Option-
Activates alarm when temperature at detector reaches 135F
Specify HD option when ordering,

Separate Detector and Base Design-
Permits the same detector to be used with both 2- and 4-wire
bases, Features quick-disconnect ease and positive-lock
assembly stability,

Universal Mounting-
Allows connection to single and double gang outlet and switch
boxes, as well as standard 4" square and octagonal type
boxes, May also be connected to surface mounted Wiremold
type raceways,

Dust Proof Protection-
Sealed electronics permit drafty "plenum" ceiling applications
without concern for nuisance alarms due to "pull-through" dust
caused by pressure differentials,

Tamper Protection-
No concern about forgetting to replace the detector. In/Out wiring
results in a fail-safe trouble signal with detector removal.

Vandal Protection-
Detector securely latches to base with two point tie-down,

Standby Current: 25 micro-amps (u a), Max.
Alarm Current: 2-Wire = Selectable 25, 50. or 90. ma depending
on panel used, 4-Wire = 25 ma @ 12 VDC 36 ma @ 24
VDC
Start-Up Current: 20.0. micro-amps (u a), max, for 0.3 sec, (after
initial power applied,)

Sensitivity-
Factory calibrated for 3% gray smoke obscuration,

Alarm Condition-
2-Wire: SCR switch, Selectable alarm current
resistive load,

Infrared Source Pulse Format-
30.0. micro-second wide pulse every two seconds, At 3%
threshold obscuration, pulse speed increases four times (4X) ,
Alarm Initiated after 5 consecutive pulses if still above
threshold, Automatic pulse count reset if obscuration drops
below 3% threshold before alarm initiated,

Power and Alarm Indicators-
Two annunciator LEOs located close to the base on opposite
sides of the detector are standard, LED1 flashes briefly every
two seconds to verify normal operation of internal infrared
source, LED2 normally OFF, but latches ON in the event of an
alarm; standard reset with power interrupt

Remote Alarm Indicator-
Optional remote alarm LED circuit available. Up to 10.0. ma
allowed in remote circuit using 2-Wire base; 80. ma with 4-Wire
base,

Full Function Test-
Individual detector alarm using a magnet in conjunction with a
built-in internal reed switch,
Multiple detector alarm using optional N.o switch installed
between terminal 'I" and ground at any base,

Radio Frequency Interference-
No alarm or set-up on critical frequencies in the range from 26 to
