November 13, 1997

.~ WOOD

FIRE PROTECfION

First United Methodist Church
38635 Fifth Avenue
Zephyrhills, Florida 33540

Attn: Judy Mogul

Re: Sanctuary Fire Alarm System

Dear Judy:

We are pleased to offer the following proposal for the installation of a fire alarm system for your
church sanctuary building. The equipment selected for this project will have the capability to be
expanded to provide coverage of the remaining two buildings (education building and
administration building) at a future date. Design of this proposed system is based on the
requirements ofNFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code and NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, Chapter
9, Existing Assembly Occupancies, Class B.

This type of occupancy requires a manually operated fire alarm system that signals to a constantly
attended location while the building is occupied, or automatically activates a pre-recorded
message on a voice evacuation system. Other system requirements include a smoke detector at
the control panel location, heat detectors in equipment and storage rooms, and duct mounted
smoke detectors connected to shut down the air-handling units in the event of a fire.

Our proposed system will include the following:

+ One UL listed fire alarm control panel with battery backup, expandable to provide coverage
for all three buildings with the addition of optional modules.
+ One UL listed voice evacuation panel with pre-recorded message and microphone.
+ One remote annunciator. Location to be determined by the local fire inspector.
+ One manual pull station at each building exit.
+ One smoke detector at the control panel location.
+ Four heat detectors for equipment and storage rooms.
+ Two duct mounted smoke detectors with remote test stations and indicators.
+ Four visual warning strobes, one for each restroom.
+ Six Speaker strobes, mounted throughout the building.
+ All exposed wiring will be installed in EMT conduit. AIl concealed wiring will be power
limited fire alarm cable.

All work will be performed in accordance with applicable NFP A standards and standard industry
practice.

CENTRAL FLORIDA OFFICE
4415 Drane Field Road
Lakeland, Florida 33811
Telephone 813/648-0775
FAX No. 813/646-8006

FL FP 921295000191
FL FP 499168000194
FL EC 0001574
GA FP 0020
GA EC EN210611
GA LV LA204737
GA LV LA204739

CORPORATE OFFICE
540 Phelps SUP.O.
