". .' . <br /> <br />54.8 Suggested Specification <br /> <br />The adhesive used shall be a two component, low vis- <br />cosity epoxy which is dispensed from a pump type car- <br />tridge. The cartridge shall have engineered plastic bar- <br />rier rings which keep the components sealed until they <br />are mixed in a built-in dispensing nozzle. The barrier <br />rings shall consist of a dual co-axial mechanism which <br />automatically opens as the cartridge is actuated. A four <br />section mixing blade assembly shall be used to com- <br />bine the components of the epoxy as the cartridge is <br />pumped. The epoxy shall be thoroughly mixed prior to <br />dispensing. Upon completion of pumping, the nozzle <br />shall be extended and the plunger handle shall be <br />removed from it. The adhesive system used shall be <br />Power-Bond as supplied by Powers Fastening, Inc. <br /> <br />Anchor holes shall be drilled with a bit meeting the <br />requirements of ANSI Standard B212.15 and shall be <br />approved by the manufacturer. The adhesive and the <br />hardware components shall be installed according to <br />the manufactures written instructions. The threaded <br />anchor rod (or reinforcing bar) used shall meet the <br />requirements of .
