<br />..... <br /> <br /> <br />~.. <br /> <br />.,f <br /> <br />Use of Pr(fmises: <br />The Contractor shall confine his equipment, the storage of materials and <br />equipment and the operations of his workmen to areas permitted by law, <br />ordinances, or permits and shall not unreasonably encumber the premises <br />with materials or equipment. Materials stored without proper permits shall <br />be promptly relocated upon request by the City at the Contractor's <br />expense. <br /> <br />Record Drawings: <br />The Contractor shall keep one record copy of all Specifications, As-built <br />Drawings, Addenda, Modifications and Shop Drawings at the site in good <br />order and annotated to show all changes made during the construction <br />process. These shall be available to the RPR and the Engineer. As-builts <br />shall be delivered to them for the City and Engineer upon completion of <br />the Project. Release of retainage shall be contingent upon delivery of <br />red-lined .. as-builts" . <br /> <br />Safety and Protection: <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and <br />supeNising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the <br />Work. He shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of and shall <br />provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss to: <br /> <br />All employees on the Work and other persons who may be affected <br />thereby. <br /> <br />All the Work and all materials or equipment to be incorporated therein, <br />whether in storage on or off the site. <br /> <br />Other property at the site or adjacent thereto, including trees, shrubs, <br />lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures and utilities not designated <br />for removal, relocation or replacement in the course of construction, <br /> <br />The Contractor shall designate a responsible member of his organization <br />at the site whose duty shall pe the prevention of accidents. This person <br />shall be the Contractor's Superintendent unless otherwise designated in <br />writing by the Contractor to the City. . <br /> <br />Emergencies: <br />In emergencies affecting the safety of persons or the Work or property at <br />the site or adjacent thereto, the Contractor, without special instruction or <br />authorization from the City, is obligated to act, at his discretion, to prevent <br />threotened damage, injury or loss. <br /> <br />15 <br />
