<br />licensed as required by law, both the ovmer and contractor may be cited for a misdemeanor
<br />violation under state law. If the owner or intended contractor are uncertaln as to vlhat
<br />licensing requirements may apply for the intended work, they are advlsed to contapt the
<br />city of Zephyrhills Building Department, 813-788-6611.

<br />oontractor-(s) sign portions of the "Contractor Sections" of this application for which they
<br />will be ~esponsible. If you, as the owner signs as the contractor, YQY are indicatlng that
<br />you, rather than the contractor, are responsible for the work. If the contracto~ wisl16s
<br />you to slgn as contractor that may be an lndication that he is not properly lioensed and is
<br />lIot enUtled to permitting privileges in the City of Zephyrhil1s.

<br />Application is hereby made to obtain a permj.t to do work and installation as indicated. 1
<br />certify that no work or installation has corrunenced prior to lssuance of a permit and that
<br />all work will be performed to meet standards of all laws regulating oonstruction, City
<br />codes, zoning regulations, and land development regulations ln the jurisdiction. I also
<br />certify that I understand that the regulations of other governmental agencies may apply to
<br />the intended work, and that it is my responsibility to ldentify what actions I IIIUst take to

<br />A permit issued shall be construed to be a license to proceed with the work and not as
<br />authority to violate, cancel, alte!.-, or set aside any provisions of the technical codes,
<br />nor shall issuance of a permit prevent the Building Official from thereafter requlrlng a
<br />correction of errors in plans, construction, or vio~ations of any code. Every permlt
<br />is.aued shall become invaUd unless the work authoriz.ed by such permit is commenced within
<br />six months of issuance, or if work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandol1ed for a
<br />period of siil months after the tlme the work is oorrunenoed. One 90 day extension of tillle
<br />may be allowed for the permit with fee charge of $15.00. The extension shall be reques~ed
<br />in Hriting to the Building Official. An approved inspection must be Jogged during each six
<br />month period, or the project Vlill be considered abandoned.
