<br />Duro.Last Roofing, I/'IC, provides
<br />detailed application instNctions and
<br />training for roofing contractors and
<br />cor.sulting services to arCl'litectS.
<br />engineers. and specifiers. The
<br />following are general instructions
<br />for installing me Duro-Last Roofing
<br />System.
<br />Deck Surface Pr8Daration: Ttle
<br />substrate on which Duro-Last
<br />membrane IS to be applied must be
<br />clean. smooth. free of sharp edges,
<br />loose debris, and standing water.
<br />Gravel snould be leveled. All
<br />surface preparations m\Jst be done
<br />in strict accordance with tne Duro-
<br />L.ast applicatiop specifications.
<br />Insularlom rrisulation must be laid
<br />on the deck and cut neatly aroLlnd
<br />all penetrations. It must then be
<br />mechanically attached wim
<br />appro14ed fasteners according to the
<br />Duro-Last specificatiqns. Do not lay
<br />more insulation than can be
<br />covered in Ute same day. Stagger
<br />me insL!lation boardS 50v/D from row
<br />to row.
<br />Pla~menr: Using the roof layout
<br />diagram, select the proper marked
<br />and rolled premanufactured sheet
<br />of Ouro-l.ast membrane. Orient the
<br />membrane so the fastening tabS'
<br />are perpendiCI.Ilar to the nbs or
<br />corrugations of steel deck. or 10 the
<br />width of prestressed concrete "T"
<br />slabs. Secure the membral'\9 to the
<br />roof deck throLIQtr the fastening tab
<br />with approved fasteners and plates,
