Page TItle

yage .j 01 I

The Shahla Fence is shown m an mdoor patio application.
Note the gate near the leftmost pillar.

Methods of Pool Protection

There are a number of precautions that homeowners can take to safeguard their
children, grandchildren, neighbors, and visitors: .

. Keeping screen doors locked
. Teaching your child to swim as early as possible
. Adult supervision
. Consistent use of a quality pool fence

Layer Your Protection

Pool fences that extend the screen wall or completely surround the pool provide the
best protection and are the best safety measure you can take. They offer additional
security for those times when audible alarms may not be heard over household
noise.

The Shahla Fence

Prior to 1991, a pool owner's only choice was a fence made with metal poles - and
without a gate. This metal pole construction attracts lightning. An installer must also
drill the pool deck to hold the poles. These holes remain long after the fence is
removed.

The Child Safe Pool Company felt that there should be an alternative. After
consulting with engineers, pool builders, architects, PVC manufacturers, and
homeowner's like you, the Shahla fence was developed. It is appreciated by many
homeowners as the solution to their dilemma. They can now have the safety of a
fence and still preserve their pool deck.

The Shahla fence is constructed of furniture grade PVC pipe along with a safety
mesh screen. It is attractive to the eye, but not to lightning. Each fence is customized
to fit the needs of each pool owner by using a combination of standard components.
The Shahla Fence is also available in kit form, in counties where a local installer is
not available. By following the directions in the Order Form section you can design
your fence in just a few minutes. Installation is simple and requires only common
hand tools.

The Shahla Fence is designed for infants and toddlers, and should not be subjected
to abuse by older children. The Shala fence should never be used in place of adult
supervision while toddlers play on the pool deck.

http://libI.store.vip.sc5.yahoo.com/lib/childsafepoolfence/right.html

1/6/2004
