SECTION III - SYSTEM COMPONENTS
UL EX. 3470 ULC CEx747 Page 3-10
REV. 1 10-1-02

~ REGULATOR TEST KIT

The Test Kit Assembly (Shipping Part No. 56972) is required to test
the regulator setting and nitrogen flow during 12-year maintenance
examinations. This will ensure that the regulator is functioning
properly.

FIGURE 30
000'80

FUSIBLE LINK

Select correct UL Listed fusible Iink(s) for installation in detector(s)
according to the temperature condition chart below:

Fusible Link To Be Used
Shipping Where
Assembly Temperature Temperature
~ Rating Does Not Exceed

415739 (1) 165 OF (740C) 100 OF (380C)
415740 (1) 212 OF (100 oc) 150 OF (660C)
415744 (25) 280 OF (138 oc) 225 OF (107 oc)
415745 (25) 360 OF (182 OC) 290 OF (143 oc)
415746 (25) 450 OF (232 oc) 360 OF (182 oc)
73867 (25) 500 OF (260 oc) 400 OF (204 oc)

Fusible
Link
~
415739 (1)
415740 (1)
415741 (1)
415742 (1)
415743 (1)
56816 (1)

~

TEMPERATURE
RATING STAMPED ON

~...

K STYLE

ML STYLE
500 'F (260 'C) ONLY
000171

000170

FIGURE 31

MAXIMUM REGISTERING THERMOMETER

The Maximum Registering Thermometer, Part No. 15240, is used
to indicate the highest normal temperature for the protected area.
Once this is established, the correct rated fusible link can be
chosen.

~

BURSTING DISC

The R-102 Bursting Disc is installed in the tank adaptor assembly.
The bursting disc eliminates the siphoning of the agent up the pipe
during extreme temperature variations. The bursting discs are
available in packs of 10, Part No. 417911.

FIGURE 32
000'72

NOZZLE AIMING DEVICE

The Nozzle Aiming Device, Part No. 551265, is required to prop-
erly aim each nozzle to the correct aiming point. The device
clamps to the nozzle and emits a small laser light that reflects on
the surface that it is aiming at. The nozzle can then be rotated to
point at a predetermined aiming point and then tightened to hold
that angle. The aiming device requires an adaptor, Part No.
431186, to attach it to the nozzle. The adaptor must be ordered
separately.

NOZZLE
AIMING
DEVICE

~

ADAPTOR (ORDER
SEPARATELY

"

FIGURE 33
006620

STAINLESS STEEL ACTUATION HOSE

The Stainless Steel Actuation Hose is used to connect the actua-
~ tion line compression tees between each pneumatic actuator and
~ can also be connected end to end.
