It is my understanding <br />that you have asked that I confirm the capability of the exterior wall <br />system to support the superimposed new roof structure proposed for <br />the home. <br /> <br />The foundation of the home has been exposed to reveal a stem wall <br />with reinforced concrete footings properly below the surface and <br />approximately 20" wide x 12" deep. There is no visual evidence of any <br />cracking or settlement of the outside walls at this time. Steel <br />reinforcing in the masonry exterior walls has been confirmed as <br />previously explained in my last letter. <br /> <br />Based on this new information I confirm that the exterior walls have the <br />structural capacity to support the additional roof structure.
