Switch or clearly marked circuit breaker electric or cutoff
(gas) must be provided. External or bullt.;n heat trap required for vertical pipe risers. -
SwImming Pools & Spas 612.1 Spas & heated pools must have covers (axcept solar heeted). Noncommercial pools must have a pump timer. Gas spe & -
pool heaters must have minimum thermal efficiency of 78%.
Hot W8Ier Pipes 612.1 Insulation Is required for hot water circulating systems (including heat recovery units). -
Shower Heads 612.1 Water flow must be restricted to no more then 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 palg. -
HVAC Duct Construction, 610.1 Ail ducts, flttlngs, mechanical equipment and plenum chambers shall be mechanically attached, sealed, Insulated and -
Insulation & Inatall8llon installed In accordance with the criteria of Section 610.1. Ducts In ettlcs must be Insuleted to a minimum of R-e.
HVAC Controls 607.1 Separete readily accessible manual or automatic thermostat for each system. -

GENERAL DIRECTIONS:
1. On Table 6G-1 indicate the R-value of thelnsulalion being added to each component and the efficiency levels of the equipment being Installed. All R-values and efficiencies Installed must meet or BXceed
the minimum values listed. Components end squlpment nBither baing added nor renovated may be left blank.
2. ADDITIONS DNLY. Determine the pelt:llniage of new glass to conditioned floor area In the addition as follows. Total the areas of all glass windows, sliding glass doors and glass door panels. Double the
arsa of all nonvsrtical roof glass and add it to the previous total. When glass in existing exterior walls Is being removed or enclosed by the eddinon, an amount equal to thetolal area of this glass may be
subtracted from the10lal glass arsa. DIvide the adjusted glass area total by the conditioned floor area of the addition. Multiply by 100 to get the pecent. Rnd the largest glass pelt:llntage under which your
calculated pelt:llntage falls on Table 6C-2. prescripnves are given by the type of glass (single or doubla pane) and the overhang (OH) pelrsd with a solar hsat gain coefficient ~HGC). For a glvsn glass type
and overhang, the minimum solar heat gain coefficient allowed Is specified. Actual glass windows and doors previously In the exterior walls of the housend being reinstalled in the addition do not have to
comply with the overhang and solar heel gain coefficient rsqulrements on llible 6C-2. All new glass in ths addition must meet the requirement for one of the options in the glass pelCentage category you
Indicated. Ths overhang (OH) distance Is msasured perpendicularly from the face ofths glass to a point directly under the outermost edge of the overhang.
3. RENOVATIONS ONLY. Replacement glass needs to meet the following requirements. Any glass type and solar heal gain coefficisnt may be used for glass areas which ars under at least a 2-fOO1 overhang
and whose lowest edge does not extend further than B feet from the ovsrheng. Glass areas being renovated that do not meet this critsria must be oIlher slngl&-pane tinted, doubl&-pene clear or double-pane
nnted.
4. 8U1LDING SYSTEMS. Comply when new system Is Installed for system Installed.
5.
