<br />4 . 'l'hat in the event the Building J:nspector shall require COrrectionS to be made,

<br />completion will call for a reinspection before proceeding with the Duilding.
<br />5. 'l'hat the oWner shall assume fuJ.J. responsibiJ.ity for the construction and will
<br />not expect supervision of his Work from the, Ci ty of Zephyrhi1ls Building -
<br />Department.
<br />6. 'l'hat prior to final inspection any additio~ fees, ~cluding reinspection
<br />fees, must be paid in full. A written request :from this o:ffice shall
<br />,constitute' an official notice. to pay additiona.1 fees.
<br />7. 'l'hat the owner shall comply with all City, State and Federal laws' in regard to
<br />soc~al security, workman'S compensation, lien laws, etc., where applicable.
<br />8. That the' owner shall comply with all the 'safety codes issued by the Florida
<br />Industrial Commission.
<br />.9 . State law requires construction to be done, by licensed contractors. You have
<br />applied for' a pe:rm:i.t ,under an exemption to that law. '!'he exemption allows
<br />you, as the owner of your property, to aot as your own contractor with certain
<br />restrictions even though you do not have a license. You: must provide direct
<br />onsite supervision of the construotion yourself. You may build or improve-a
<br />one-family er two-family residence or a f~ eutbui1ding. You may also -build
<br />er improve a commercial building, provided your costsdc net exceed $25,000.
<br />The building .er residence must be fer your own US,e er occupancy. It may net
<br />be built er, substantially improved fer sale er lease. I:fyou sell or lease a
<br />building yeti,have built or ,sUbstantiallY ~r.oved your~eif within 1 year after
<br />the constructien is cOmplete, the law will presUme 'th&t you built er
<br />substantially improved if for saJ.e er lease, which is a violation ef this
<br />exemption. Yeu may not hire an unlicensed person to act as yeur contracter er
<br />to supervj"se p~op1e work:ing on yeur building. J:t is your responsibility to'
<br />make sure that people employed by you have licenses required by state law and
<br />by county or municipal licensing ordinances. Ycumay not delegate the
<br />responsibility for supervising work to. a licensed contracter who is net
<br />l:ic~ed to ~erform the Work be:ing clone. Any person work:ing on your bu:i.ld.:i.ng
<br />who :LS not l:Lce:nsed =st work under your d.:i.rect superv:is:ion and mu.st be
<br />employed.by you, which means, that you =std.E!duct P'.I.C.A. and rlthhold.:Lng tax
